Forgot 4 pin parent number - Video Game Consoles & Games

Go to parental controls in system settings.
When it asks 'Change Parental Controls settings?' tap yes.
When it brings up a numeric keypad, tap the center button, "I Forgot".
Next, tap "I Forgot" again. Now you will be shown a screen with a number at the bottom (the 'inquiry number').
Go to: http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp
Enter the 'inquiry number' number in the field marked confirmation number. Set the current date in your timezone and click get reset code. And Voila! Your DSi is now parental control free!

1. Turn on your Wii console and go into the Wii Options Menu
2. Click on Wii Settings and click the right arrow until you see "Parental Controls"
3. Say "Yes" to "Change Parental Controls?"
4. Click on "I forgot" when it asks you to enter your pin
5. It will ask you for your secret question, click on "I forgot" again
6. The screen will read "If you have forgotten both your PIN and secret question, call the consumer service number listed in the Wii Operations Manual and provide the confirmation number below. You will be issued a master key."
7. Call Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700 and give them the confirmation code listed on the screen. They will give you a new Master key to enter on the next screen.
8. The PIN is now reset/disabled

2. Click on Wii Settings and click the right arrow until you see "Parental Controls"
3. Say "Yes" to "Change Parental Controls?"
4. Click on "I forgot" when it asks you to enter your pin
5. It will ask you for your secret question, click on "I forgot" again
6. The screen will read "If you have forgotten both your PIN and secret question, call the consumer service number listed in the Wii Operations Manual and provide the confirmation number below. You will be issued a master key."
7. Call Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700 and give them the confirmation code listed on the screen. They will give you a new Master key to enter on the next screen.
8. The PIN is now reset/disabled

How to Remove Parental Controls:
Use the information below to remove any Parental Controls that have been put in place.

1. On the Nintendo DSi Menu, use the stylus to select the Settings ("wrench") icon.
   
2. Select the right arrow twice to reach the third page, then select "Parental Controls."
   
3. Select "Yes," to change the parental controls.
   
4. You will be prompted for your 4-digit PIN.
   • If you know the PIN, select the empty text box and enter the PIN using the on-screen keyboard, then select "OK" to continue.
     
   • If you don't know the PIN, select "I forgot," then select the empty text box for the answer to the secret question and enter it using the on-screen keyboard. Select "OK" to continue.
     
   • If you do not know the answer to your Secret Question, tap "I Forgot."
     
     
   • The screen below will appear. Look at the top of the upper screen to see the date your system is set to, and make sure it is today's correct date.
     • If the date is incorrect, it will need to be changed in order for us to assist you (how to).
     
     
     
   • Type your eight-digit Inquiry Number in the box below and click "Continue."
     Note: You must contact us on the same day that you get your Inquiry Number from the Nintendo 3DS
     

In the System Settings Menu, go to the 3rd page, then select "PARENTAL CONTROLS."

• Select "YES," to change the parental controls.
• You will be prompted for your 4-digit PIN.
  
  If you know the PIN, select the empty text box and enter the PIN using the on-screen keyboard, then select "OK" to continue.
  
  If you don't know the PIN, select "I forgot," then select the empty text box for the answer to the secret question and enter it using the on-screen keyboard. Select "OK" to continue.
  
  
  
  If you don't know either the PIN or the secret question, the Parental Controls will need to be reset.
  
  
  An Enquiry Number will be displayed. Ring the number given in the Nintendo DSi Operations Manual and provide the Enquiry Number. You will then be issued with a Master Key. Tap "OK" and enter the Master Key. Tap "OK".
  
  
• Select "PIN" to change the PIN or "CHANGE SETTINGS" to update the setting you wish to change. Once the changes are made, select "DONE" to confirm any changes.

"If you don't know either the PIN or the secret question, the Parental Controls will need to be reset. Please call 1-800-255-3700 for assistance."

You will be issued a master key." 7. Instead of calling the phone number, enter the key into the confirmation key box on http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.wsgi 8. Click Get reset code 9. Enter code on the next screen.

Here is what nintendo says about your problem:
If you have Parental Controls turned on, but cannot remember your PIN, you will be prompted to select and answer a secret question that will allow you to change your PIN in the "Game Settings and PIN" menu. If you forget your PIN and the answer to your secret question, please call Nintendo Consumer Service at 1-800-255-3700.
Before you call!
In order to assist you, we will need your Wii Parental Controls Confirmation Number. To get this number:

1. On the first screen of the Parental Controls where you enter your PIN, select "I forgot."
2. When prompted to answer your secret question, select "I forgot."
3. The following screen will appear. Please write down your Confirmation Number and have it handy when you speak to a representative.

So as you can see you don't have to reset the whole system.Anyway if you really want to reset the wii system try this out:

1.Go to system options
2.Press format wii system memory

That should reset the whole system.
