Was the pump drive belt broken when you replaced it? did you notice if you could turn the pump when the belt was off. If not the pump is either clogged or bad. Below is a link that may help. Maytag Washing Machine A412Troubleshooting Repair Help
Is this an LSE series Washer/Dryer?
The two units are separate, joined only by a plug and socket at the rear of the washer. There maybe Sellotape on the sides of the washer holding it onto the dryer legs, this was part of the transportation protection, just cut it off.
Disconnect the power, Disconnect the plug and socket.
Pull the washer forward until you can tilt it back to rest on the bottom section of the dryer. The belts are accessible underneath the washer unit.
BUT.. Why do you want to change the belts??
I understand you want to know how to change the washer belt on your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# GLGT1031FS1. Typically, this is not a do it yourself repair, as there are no step by step instruction manuals. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They have been trained on your appliance and should be able to change the washer belt with ease. Hope this is helpful.

I figured out that the belt went on the bottom of the dryer. It was actually very easy to fix once I realized where the belt went. I made the mistake of opening the front cover of the washer first, which is why I did not see where to put the belt. Apparently, if the washer is not level (since I had too much for a load and it caused the washer to pull out from the wall), the belt shook itself loose.
you can't really tighten a belt, I suggest that you change it, although it is extremely hard to replace a a new belt yourself. Have you checked the carbon brushes in the motor do not need changing, this could also generate a burning smell and leave you clothes wet if they are worn.
the belt is under the washer. you may be able to reach it if you do not have a cover on the bottom of the washer... if you do have a cover on the bottom than you will need to pull the washer out. and take the back panel of the washer off. from there you will be able to see under the washer. you will be able to see the belt. just release the tensinor and replace the belt....
