Control switch quit working on NMS620H massager How can I get the unit apart to see if I can repair it. Got the zipper open and to the little box but can't get it open. How can I open it?

No, we can't replace a zipper, we are here to answer questions. We're not a repair service.
You may be able to cut off the zipper and sew a new one on. It depends upon what material the backpack is made of.

Atleast on model which I own (~6 yrs old), there is no need to take apart the case for switch removal. Simply pry the switch cover off (gently) and switch will then slide out for cleaning & evaluation.

The switch contacts are probably dirty. If you pry off the switch (actually it's a cover), you will see the actual switch underneath. There are several sets of contacts that control the speeds. Use a cotton swab wetted with 91% rubbing alcohol and clean the contacts. This made my Thumper work like brand new again. My is an older unit, and has open switch contacts. The newer models may have a different switch. This procedure was recommended to me when I called Thumper about my Mini Pro 2 not working properly. You can reach them at 1-800-848-6737.

It kinda depends, You might be able to bring it to a store where they will repair it for a costly charge. If you are okay with working with your hands however, you can dismantle it yourself and just repair it yourself. How you would do that is, to take it apart screw by screw until you get the power supply out in the open and just wrap the wires that are torn with electrical tape and then just close it back up. MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG THE UNIT IF WORKING ON IT

Well it has a zipper in the back have you ever unzipped it? Because my mom hers didnt work, so i unzipped it and some cord was unplugged so that might just be it, you need to unzip the whole thing, and pull it out because some of the wires hide.

The current unit sold by Brookstone does not have a power cord. The unit is sealed and the battery is not replaceable. Many units eventually quit working when recharging cycle quits. Only solution is to replace the unit or contact Brookstone for their service center. Probably cheaper to replace the unit.
