Most water heaters have a drain on the bottom where you can hook up a garden hose and run out side. Or you can get an air compressor and hook the air line to an open hot tap and put pressure and run the water out another hot tap. Close all taps but these two and make sure the cold water inlet to the tank is shut off.
Make sure water line valve is turned on where it taps in to water line, and that ice shut off is down not up, check to see if water is in ice tray or if it is dry if no water or ice is present then water is not getting to it if water tap valve is open then water valve in ice maker is off or ice shut off arm is up instead of down. Try pouring warm water in ice tray see if that will get it started.
If the water sprays after the dry cycle has completed and you have to physically have to turn the tap off, then you need to replace the water inlet valve on the unit. Here is a link to the valve.
you have a bad cartridge...or bad seats and springs...shut off water pull cartridge and go to lowes or plumbing supply and get parts and replace...make sure hot is on left side before putting back...turn water back on...good luck
Its mainly caused by back pressure when the inlet valve suddenly shuts off the water to the machine. The pressure causes your plumbing pipe work to shake inside the walls.
You can turn down the pressure by closing your water tap and only having it slightly open. Or you can get pressure limiters which join on the hose.
one of the control valves (hot or cold) is not closing the water supply, most likely leaking so the electronics are good. one of the valves needs replacing, but if you dont want to spend the money just shut the water supply off at the water supply taps.
The water line tap may be screwed back into the water line or you did not sufficiently poke a hole into the water line with the tap. We had the same problem. Shut off the water supply, remove the tap from the line and check the size of the hole. my bet is the hole is very small. Either drill out the hole with a drill and replace the tap (with a new rubber grommet) or add a tee into the line with the proper size compression fitting (that is what we did) and the water will flow freely..
