Can i put a plug on my cata ec60 electric hob and plug it in to a socket

Either the display board or the control board needs replacing. Due to the cost, have the diagnostics and replacement done by a service technician. You will also get warranty on the repair.

It is not a well known make in North America.

have you plugged another appliance in to the socket and had it working?
is there a clicking sound when you try the ignition, but it just doesn't light?
have you pulled the caps and crowns off and checked they are on correctly.
after removing crowns, you can use an (insulated) screwdriver to make a earth to the electrode pin with a 2mm gap and then see the spark.

Take a closer look at the wiring diagram on the base or in the book.Check you have put in the relevant links.If not wired properly you may only get half the hob working.

Our hob has the same problem. I would really like to know the reason for this! Try using a rubber eraser instead of your finger - this works every time with our hob. Covering Up and Down arrows with the rubber, zeros it instantly just like using both fingers. Hope this helps.

hi im gerbee my suggestion is replace the pcv control wat brand u have,always also in philipines the electric hob is so very sensitive,the pcv cotrol is not repairable.or next time u by a new one gas cooktop more ok compare to electric ceramic hob, or use electric ceramic hob w/knob control compare to sensor type,i think the part of the sensor or pcv control is so very expensive,that why i buy an another one.dont try to repair more difficult to com.tnx

If you are in the USA most codes require a seperate circuit for the oven and the cooktop. Most cooktops require 30 amps and at least #10 wire.

You press the "on" which is on the left. Press the picture of hob you require and press the up and down for temperature. Then put your pan on the hob and it will work. If you need to adjust the temp you need to remove the pan.
