Hello,
Take a closer look at the wiring diagram on the base or in the book.Check you have put in the relevant links. If not wired properly you may only get half the hob working.

Hope this helps.

On ceramic hob, 2 rings only worked intermittently, I cured this by pulling apart and squeezing the spade terminal to make them tight. I think the vibration from the fan oven below had caused most of them to work loose.

We have modern Miele induction hob not sure of model it has three single hot plate, one large double extra speed hot plate one double hot plate its in demonstration mod how can l cancel?

I am assuming the timer display is showing "dE" . If you have the manual page 50 (programming) shows how to cancel demo mode. It is program P 0, currently it is set to "0" (demo mode), you need to change it to "1" (demo mode off).

Flame leaking under lower ring. Common?

no it is a problem with the hob

consider this

as it is a rental property it is the responsibility of the land lord to get a gas fitter in to fix / replace the problem

If you do not ask him to fix it , if there is a problem and the thing explodes, catches fire or gases some one to death, there is every possibility that he will try to blame you for not reporting it

if he refuses to fix it or tries to fix it himself then I would advise that you seek alternative rental accommodation as the problem is for an accredited gas fitter and not a landlord.

I have acquired a Rosiers hob with 3 gas rings and 1 electric, but 2 of the gas fittings are missing is there any chance of getting new ones . I think the model is the Tologne The rings are the med and...

hello there, the model name does not match any of our documents or any documents online. Please check your unit for the model number to enable us get the parts list to determine the part number. The gas rings are usually available for sale although most of the time gas rings from other makes would fit but lets see if we can get the exact ones for your unit. Please furnish me with the model number.
Hoping to hear from you soon.

How can a Smeg gas hob be made safe when the flame goes out or it is accidentally turned on when cleaning the top.

The device that turns off the gas supply when the flame goes out, is called a thermocouple. If your cooktop model was not fitted with this device, you will need to turn off power at power point or fit a gas isolation ****.(Local gas and power laws)

I have a neff T1.D20 dual circuit hotplate but although the inner lights up and gets hot the outer part doesnt. Is the outer part supposed to?

I have a T172 model which also has a dual circuit hotplate.

In the control area you should find a dual circuit control pad - this has two concentric circles on it. With the hob switched on, pressing this button will chnage the mode of the dual circuit hot plate bewteen:
1. Just the inner part
2. Both the inner and outer together.

When the hob is switched off using the Standby control pad, it remembers which mode was selected and will therefore work the same next time it is switched on. However, it is worth noteing that when the mains power to the hob is interuppted, either by an isolator switch/breaker, or a power cut, the hob defaults back to just the inner ring mode.

Smeg gas hob ignition

There is a problem with the board. It has malfunctioned onto an ignition mode. By switching it off, it shows the capacitor is holding chage untill flat.(Hence the continual sparking) Replace it.

problem with hob is probably water ingress in area of ignition unit - will probably cure itself oven is a completely separate unit from hob. problem with it is that you have to re-set the clock - you have it on automatic. after power outage, oven clock always has to be reset
