GE gas stove top igniters won't stop clicking

We had the gas company come out because we thought that the non-stop clicking sound was a problem with the gas. We learned it was not, but we still have the clicking sound. It will just randomly start to click [all 4 burners]. If we bang on the knobs it will stop, but eventually start up again at random times. The man from the gas company had us check the electricity by plugging the cord into another socket. The clicking still continued. We used a blow dryer to dry the ingniters, as he suggested, and they stopped for a while, but after he left the clicking started again, just not as often. It's been a week and although it is not as bad, the clicking still happens at random times or when we turn a burner on.

One of my stove top igniters won't stop clicking whenever the oven is on.  Trying to find out if I can just cut the wire to it, since I can't get to the back of the stove to disconnect.     Click.....click......click.....click.......click...sheesh!

Same problem....igniters keep clicking. Pulled the plug and now have to use a match to light the burners.

I was cleaning my stove with a glass top cleaner (Easy OFF) and 3 of my 4 burners began clicking. Thankfully I got the stove unplugged before it ignited the cleaner. My stove is less than 2 years old.

I have the same problem. All four burners began clicking during the cleaning cycle. The cycle is over, the clicking continues even though I have tried all the mentions already mentioned.. Mine is the 5 burner with the center griddle/grill top option.

All four burner igniters are clicking, trying to ignite in unison every 3 seconds or so. I cut the power to it, and that solves the issue. But I'd rather not use a match every time. So, not much different than what most people on this thread are reporting.

HAS ANYONE FOUND AN ANSWER TO REMEDY THE ISSUE?

My wife just called me with the same problem - all 4 starters are clicking repeatedly - which started while the range was being cleaned.
From a Google search, this is what I found. Don't know if it will solve our issues, though wanted to share as it sounds like we may all be suffering from dirty starters (electrodes).
My surface burners keep "clicking" even after the burner is lit. There are a few things to check for.

And, to check the model number, look at the various places pointed to in the upper left of this diagram. http://www.applianceaid.com/newpics/range-model2.JPG

Same problem. 3 year old stove top will not stop clicking. GE is sending out a repair man for $80 and will offer a 5 year warrenty on replaced parts. Too bad they didn't offer a 5 year warrenty on the orriginal product. Obviously GE does not stand behind their product. I will never purchase a GE appliance again.

I agree...The new house came with the top of the line ge profile and arctic fridge and the cooktop shattered with the slightest fall of a two oz pepper shaker...ge wanted 400 plus call and labor to replace...got it from a local appliance store for 200 plus 104 service and labor...less than a week later when I finally got to use my stove again ( I work a lot during the week) the first time I turned it on the ignitor wouldn't stop and they wouldn't come out again unless they got another 75 bucks and said the whole job was 180 the freakin greed in this country has gone berzerk....either we buy things we can fix ourselves, or forget it. We need to go back to simpler times. Forget this, I'll unplug the ****** and light the **** 1100 dollar cooktop with a freakin match like 1930 like julia child
