The USA converted to all digital awhile back. There are still a few analog channels in my area, but I'm relatively close to the Mexican border. You might try an analog to digital converter.

Where can I get a universal remote control for Sinotec 39 inch HD flat screen tv

Hello, Ncedisa -

Since yours is a Sinotec television, I hope I am correct in guessing you reside in South Africa.

Note: Fixya.com receives questions from people worldwide. I am answering from the USA.

I suggest you contact Sinotec directly (Sinotec Customer Service) and ask your question:

Best wishes.

Cant get the new digital tv schannels

HELLO

There are differences in the frequencies used in NZ and Australia and this is why you cannot pick up ALL digital stations in Australia.

Example: NZ uses PAL B @ VHF and PAL G @ UHF
AUSTRALIA uses PAL B @ UHF and this is why the channels differ.

I would think the only way to get round this problem is to buy yourself a terrestrial set-top box or satellite box and then you will get all digital stations.

I have a motto: Always buy your TV in the country you live in. It would be like me taking a UK TV to France - the systems are different including the digital channels. Put this down to experience - you've learned the hard way!

ALL THE BEST!
