Probably stripped the blender drive off the motor shaft
if it is still under warranty ,take it back
if not , with all the failing units you may get parts from the manufacturer

Blade not turning

Ouch. That doesn't sound good.
Is the blade seating & locking on the spindle? Try turning it with your hand (unplug the blender first!).
Examine the underside of the blade, and the spindle, for cracks.

If you find a problem here, it may be a simple matter of replacing the blade assembly.

If not, try running it dry... no blade, no container. Just short shots of one second. Is the spindle turning? If it turns, then put the container & blade back on... but just put water in the container.
If the blade turns, whipping the water (but doesn't turn if you put something more dense in it), that suggests that your bearings are going out.

In summary:
  • If the spindle turns but the blade doesn't turn, look at your blade assembly. (Plastic can hide a crack.)
  • If the spindle turns "sometimes", but not when subjected to resistance, then it's probably worn bearings.
  • If the spindle doesn't turn at all, then your blender will need to be professionally repaired or replaced.
tip

Failure of grinding, blending, or mixing kitchen appliances

Generally, a blade or grinding or blending/mixing part that is permanently attached to a metal shaft from the appliance motor is held on that shaft by a 'shear pin'. This pin breaks when something is put in the appliance that the grinder, mixer, blender can't gring, mix, or blend. This is to protect the motor from overload. Afterwards, The motor will continue to turn, but the blade or paddle, or whatever will not turn.
The shear pin needs to be replaced.
The shear pin passes through one side of the base of the bade/grinder/paddle assembly, through the motor shaft, and out the other side of the blade/grinder/paddle.
The piece of the pin must be removed from the shaft, and from the two sides of the blending/grinding part. This is generally a press-fit, and some effort may be required to accomplish this.
When the pieces have been removed, a common 'roll pin' of the appropriate diameter should be inserted to hol the turning part on the shaft. It must fit tightly, and some effort should be required to insert the new pin.

I have this model and a vita prep 3. Both turn off when tasked with heavy blending. Is there anyway to increase their blending torque capacity? They used to be much better. They are not old machines.

The motors even if they not old blenders if they have work with too much load for along time then they have been overheated and thus they will trip overheat safety more sensitive. So now actualy you have less blending torque as you have describe. So now their is much posibilty if you continue to work it the same way you will finally burn the motor rotor so the damage will be grait.
So now not only you can not get more torque but you should try to avoid very heavy use in order to have them work for a longer time.
When you use with a lot of ice cubes try to cover them with a lot of liquids and always use the pulse mode to start ant the continues rotation.
Good luck

The pulse light is blinking, but the blender will not work

This worked for me - only took about 5 minutes (the amount of time it took for me to google Black & Decker and search through their FAQ)

Q. My blender stopped in the middle of blending. What happened?
A. Your blender has a motor overheat protection system that will automatically shut off the blender when it has been running too long with a heavy load. If this happens, unplug the blender and wait 10-15 minutes to allow the motor to cool down. Plug in the blender and resume blending.

I am unable to get the blending cup out of my Bella Cucina Rocket blender. I recently purchased this have and only used this a few times including once just before the ''cup'' stuck. It appears to have...

Hi! I just had the same problem and actually called the service number that came with the rocket blender. The lady on the phone said that the plastic cup must have expanded (from heat), and to stick it in the refrigerator for 24 hours until the plastic shrinks back down to normal. After the 24 hours the cup should be able to come off. Kind of makes sense, but I hope it works!

Waring pro wpb blender emit burning smoke and smell when i was blending ...

Obviously the motor winding is burned out. it needs to be rewound. This is can be done only by repair men who regularly wind motors.

All blenders have one thing in common. They draw more than rated current when running slow. If u continued using it inspite of noticing low speed then the it results in burnt motor winding as is the case now.

Also the blenders should not be run on no load, which will cause meahanical damage to fan and bearings.

Vita-Mix 5000 blender shuts off under heavy blending loads.

first check the blades on the container thay should turn easy by hand if not thats your problem , you will need blades . blades turn easy ? you will need to replace the motor . the temp /overload has changed and is tripping to easy . this is common with people that use there vitamix for tough chores a lot . a lesser blender would just burn up a motor in a puff of smoke .a vitamix dies this way . in the end its the same you will need a motor

While mixing anything the mixer will slow down and usually stop.

This is normal for household type blenders. Sounds like you do a lot of blending. Commercial blenders provide more power and can withstand lots of blending projects. Thicker the material the more load on the motor. As the motor heats up the winding become hot and the motor begins to breakdown,
I really hope this helps answer your question. If not please let me know... Thanks, Sea Breeze
