I bought an HP Photosmart C4180 which worked well at first, but after running Paretologic RegCure I get the message "hpqscnvw has stopped working". I have had to reinstal the HP software SIX TIMES but no one seems to be dealing with this and the customer just suffers.

Document your communication with RegCure. If they don't stop, contact your bank and provide them with the information you've compiled about trying to cancel.

Un-install the printer and download drivers from HP. This link will take you to "choose your operating system" at HP. These will be up to date and may solve your error message. Not printing from computer to photo smart printer.

If the printer has full functionality with C4100 series driver, then keep the current driver.

If some of the functions is not working , then download updated drivers from HP website.

Incorrect Cartridge Print cartridge in right stall not supported?

I changed the cartridge and it now works. I resent this though because it had been merrily printing before it decided it would stop and I have had to waste a three quarters full cartridge! I just hope the new one does not go the same way

Go to here for standard vista drivers

or here for the Vista 64 version

Be sure to setup the printing preferences from the HP icon on your taskbar. You have experience slow operation if you don't. Good luck
