Leave it alone! Windows 10 is too new and rushed to market - has many issues not yet resolved.

U only upgrade when your current OS or program is not doing the job for you. Upgrading just for the sake of upgrading is not smart and prone to many unpleasant surprises with drivers, compability, ad infinitum.

Is not starting by window vista

Windows Vista is no longer the current operating system supported by Microsoft. Try to upgrade or get a full copy of Windows 7. Windows 7 works a lot better than Windows Vista did. If you have the discs for Windows Vista, then try ot reinstall, but, again, Windows 7 is the current operating system for Microsoft.

You said NEW computer with Win 7? That is hardly new, unless you mean the computer is NEW to YOU. Obviously Win 10 is far better, with current drivers and better security. Nevertheless, older operating systems need Updated Drivers for current hardware. Go to the Device Drivers and review all hardware listed. Open each one individually and Update Drivers. When finished, you should have current driver function and all devices should operate very well. I still think you should up date to Win 10.

How do i format a system using window 7 as operating system

Hi.

To format the hard drive and reinstall the system you need either a Window 7 install disk or a HP Windows recovery disk for your laptop model.

See links below:

Installing and reinstalling Windows 7

Windows 7 Installation

If you instead need to format an external hard drive, such as an USB disk, click right mouse button on top of the drive icon and choose 'format' from the dropdown menu.

I have the 3d home architect deluxe 3.0. i can't install in a new pc. it's says windows 95/98/me &windows@ 2000. i just bought the pc this year.

Robin,

That is a very tall order. All the current versions of Windows will not accept 3d Home Architect. And only the older versions will. No one can do anything about it. Sorry about that. Older software is not compatible with current OSs.

Check to make sure you have the correct driver for your operating syytem; are you running Windows 7 (32-bit) or Windows (64-bit)?

Go to Start > Device and Printers > System Check under System type to confirm your operating system.

If you do not have the correct driver you can download from here. Make sure you also download the three (3) Utility- Diagnostic Tools. These may be able to help resolve your problem if you do not already have them.

Please note that HP has posted several alerts for this products concerning Windows 7. You should review; Resolving HP Solution Center Scan and Product Status Issues After Upgrading Windows Vista to Windows 7 and Scanned Files Disappear after Scanning with HP Solution Center

If you feel you have the correct driver properly installed try running the Scan Diagnostic Tool. If you are unsure about the driver I would start there with an uninstall of the current driver and download of an updated driver for the installed operating system.

If this does not resolve problems work through the advice provided in the on-line resources linked above.

Good luck in resolving your problem.
