The FI light is letting you know there is a problem with the Fuel Injection system on the bike. You will most likely need to take it to the dealer and have them diagnose it with their computer. You can check your fuses and make sure they are intact, but most likely dealership problem.

SOURCE: f1 light comes on bike runs fine

Hi,

Its pretty common and its related to the throttle position sensor, a suzuki dealership should be able to reset the sensor, or ajust whatever, but it cost you $150 DOLLARS FOR A NEW SENSOR.

You can use one trick that worked most of the times :-

Turn the bike off, turn the key back to the on position, but don't start the bike, turn it off then start the bike.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

SOURCE: suzuki sv1000s , f1 light came on and the bike doesn't start

Sounds like you have a problem with the computer or the FI system on the bike. That is what the (F)uel (I)njection is on for.

SOURCE: 83 suziki GS450 idle issues

the problem with the rubber was close but on the gs450 there is a metal insert that even if the rubber was rotted away the metal seals aginst the head so it cant leak. the problem is on the gs 450 suzuki used a cheap throttle cable that kinks behind the gas tank and kinks at the bend to the crabs under the set and the throttle system is a pull only not a dual cable pull push to always close the throttle. if you start the bike a wiggle the bend in the cable that comes out from the twist grip you will see it changes the idle. with either your finger or a screw driver and push the plate down on the carbs that the cable connects too. if the idle drops this conforms your problem. order a new cable from dennis kirk they have the revised one that has metal adjustment screw and metal clip in. better jacket casing as well.

My 1996 Honda Civic the. Cruise control won't work nothing will work on ot

The cruise control system on this vehicle uses mechanical, electrical and vacuum operated components to maintain vehicle speeds over 25 MPH. The cruise control unit receives command signals from the cruise control main switch and the set/resume switch. It also receives operating signals form the brake light switch, ignition coil, speed sensor, clutch switch (manual transmission) or shift position switch (automatic transmission). If the main switch's indicator light illuminates when turned on, it's likely working properly. Likewise, if the cruise control light on the instrument cluster illuminates when the set/resume switch is pressed, it is likely OK. At this point the problem would likely be mechanical or vacuum-related rather than electrical and the actuator/servo would be the prime suspect. On the other hand if the cluster indicator light is not illuminating, it could be an electrical issue such as the set switch not registering or one of the safety switches (brake switch, clutch switch or shift position switch) registering inappropriately which effectively cancels the cruise request. How to set up bios on toshiba laptop tecra m1

Hold down the Esc key and press and hold the power button until the on/off light on the system indicator panel illuminates (green) for approximately one second. When the following message appears on the screen: "Check system, Then press [F1] key," press F1. The System Setup screen appears.

If that doesn't work, try powering on the laptop and when the Toshiba splash screen comes up, hit F2 or F12.

One of these methods will get you in to the BIOS setup.

Its flashing f1 what does that mean on my kawasaki zx6r 2007

the flashing " f i " light on the spedo is the "fuel injection" on-board diagnostic system light, suggestion: check under the seat there is a yellow wire coming out of the ECU that is touhed to chasis ground in order to retreve the trouble codes, the wire may be pinched and contacting ground, causing the light to flash codes.

I just bought a 93 camara z28 was week and its jus been problems. there is a weird whining noise coming from one of the altenator pulleys. a buddy said the bearing is shot but the worst part is i was...

If it's coming from the altenator it's most likelly the rear bearing. The bearing is pressed in the case and it gets very hot from the friction of the brushes. If you determine this is the problem I reccomend replacing the entire altenator, the bearing and labor to install it will be really close to a new one and you get a warranty depending on where you buy it. If the voltagfe is spiking in the altenator it could be affecting the cruise control, Fix the altenator first and than tackle the cruise if it's still inop.

My 2002 K1200RS cruise control has stopped working. The small red light on the control illuminates but the amber light on the dash no longer comes on nor does the cruise kick in. Any ideas?

check the brake pedal switch, mine was to close to coming on all the time and would flash the light on bumps not allowing the cruise to engage untill I bent the little tab to hit the microswitch sooner and stay touching it.
