Not instlling vista cd

Just reinstall vista from the CD which came with your PC, when complete, Boot up and connect to the internet. Windows will want to update automatically, during this process, the later service packs (SP) will be downloaded and installed.

From what you're saying I get that you want to install Windows XP with Service Pack 3 on your computer. Are you wanting to replace Vista, or do you want a dual boot system? Do you have a Vista CD as well if you want a dual boot system? Did you receive any other disc's with the computer that may have a driver set on it?

Normally Each copy of windows is capable of booting, provided that Boot from CD is enabled in BIOS Setting of the system.

if having problem please do:-
1. Enable Boot from CD in BIOS
2. Partition, Format, Install Another lower version of Windows (XP), pl dont upgrade service pack.
3. Install Win 7 (Run --> Setup --> Upgrade)
4. Install NERO 6.0 or above
5. Create a bootable using NERO 6.0

Now you can use this this CD for repair, boot, recover or preinstallation, partition etc.

update ur vista and downlode service pack 1 then install the drivers from the cd then will work

You will find this key on the packaging that your Windows CD came in. The keys are not interchangeable. Hope this helps.

try to download belarc advisor software. Run this in your vista OS and send it to me so I can check your hardware specs. This is the only way to avoid problems in the future or before you start the formatting.

When you bought you monitor there should be a drver CD for the monitor. If you have the CD, pu it in the CD_rom and then if you;re using Windows XP it will automatically open for drive installation. The PC will automatically detect a new hardware and will ask for the driver.The installation wizard will open and you just follow the instruction. Remember the drive is in the CD-rom. Choose CD-rom for drive location.

Try reentering the product key

Call microsoft and verify that your version is authentic and not pirated...

I had this problem already and it turned out althoug i had an authentic version the key i was sold with the cd was not recgoinised by microsoft. After providing my proof of purchase microsoft gave me a new key
