Leaking toner all over paper and you can't read the information that is printing and alot of paper jams.

which Printer are you using? You might need to open the printer paper feeder or where the toner is loaded or a paper jam door in your printer to clear the paper jam. sometimes its a torn piece of paper that's stuck in the paper print rail that might trigger the paper jam signal.

1Open the upper-front cover and remove the toner cartridge.2
Look into the printer. Remove any jammed sheets of paper that you find there.

• If the print job only consisted of this one page, reinstall the toner cartridge and close the front cover. Press the button to clear the error, and then try printing again.
  
  
• If the print job consisted of more than one page, confirm the entire paper path is clear before printing again. Do the following:

1. Remove the top paper tray ('Tray 1').
   
2. Remove any jammed or partially-fed sheets of paper you find here, then reinstall the tray.
   
3. Go around to the back of the machine and open the upper-rear cover. Remove any jammed sheets of paper you find, then close the cover.
   
4. Once you have confirmed that the entire paper path is clear, reinstall the toner cartridge and close the front cover.
   
5. Press the button to clear the error, and then try printing again.

• If you cannot locate any jammed paper under the toner cartridge, then check the rest of the printer for any jammed paper. Do the following:
  
  
  
  • Remove the top paper tray ('Tray 1') and look for any jammed or partially-fed sheets of paper.
    
  • If you do not find any jammed pages there, reinstall the tray and go around to the back of the machine. Open the upper-rear cover and look there.
    
  • If the entire paper path appears to be clear, close the rear cover and power off the printer. Reinstall the toner cartridge and close the front cover. Power the printer back on. If a 200 error continues on power up, a sensor in the printer may be malfunctioning. This will require a service call to correct the issue. Is your printer had jammed before and it stop printing in the middle of printing? For some reasons, paper can jammed due to printing interruptions, printer turn off, improper loading or feeding of paper, roller feeder had problem and others.

If jams before and paper have let inside the printer, please do the following first:

1. Check th paper tray, see inside if the paper is jammed inside that compartment. If there is paper jammed, remove, turn off your printer and turn on. This will solve your problem.

2. If not, open the printer cartridge door, remove the toner cartridge and look for paper jammed inside. If these is paper inside, remove it, turn off the printer and turn it on.

3. If you cannot see the paper jammed inside, the paper maybe inside the heating area. To remove paper, just turn off your printer and turn it on to roll over the paper jammed inside of it.

4. If the printer is blinking and saying there is paper jammed. You have to check the cartridge toner by opening the cartridge door, remove the cartridge and return it back but be sure it is well firmly fitted.

If following the 4 diagnostic procedure and you cannot locate the jammed paper, the problem lies on the toner cartridge itself. When toner cartridge is not rolling over, it will stop feeding the paper and it will cause printer to jammed.

To diagnose the problem, put old printer cartridge and if no toner power, just shake it well and I am sure there is still small amount of powder inside it and if it prints, the toner cartridge you purchase is defective. Reason, factory defect or improper refilling and part is not working well.

THERE IS STILL PAPER JAM IN THE PRINTER OR YOU NEED TO TURN IT OF BEFORE PRINTING AGAIN.

There could just be a lot of toner inside the printer, but it could also be the drum unit (which also collects the waste toner) is so full that it is leaking.

This typically happens when the 'replace drum' indication is reset without actually replacing the drum.

If you have reset this without replacing the drum, and the print count is in excess of 30,000, you probably just need to replace the drm unit.

1. Take out paper tray 1.
2. Remove any jammed sheets of paper you find there.
3. Once you have done this, reinstall the paper tray and try printing again.
   Note: You may receive a message informing you that another sheet of paper is jammed elsewhere in the printer. If so, please open the front door and remove the toner cartridge. Also open the rear door of the printer (and the duplex option if a duplex unit is installed). Remove any and all jammed sheets of paper you find. Then try printing again.
4. If the printer jams again with a 241 Paper Jam error message, look to see if it has tried to feed a sheet of paper out of the tray.
   

your getting a 383 paper jam, find paper in two different places.
See if it's a duplex related problem. print single sided documents, if that works, try printing two sided documents (it'll be the duplexer) if it only fails while printing duplex.

Also, check the back door. Make sure the back exit tray is closed all the way.

You can also have a paper jam in the duplex unit (open the front door), the duplex unit slides out the front. You can easily remove the duplex unit and run the printer without it.

I had constant jamming problems (mostly with pages with a lot of color coverage) when I was refilling toner cartridges with cheap refill kits off of ebay. Switched back to new brother cartridges and have not had a jam since.
