I have a 7 in flip screen duel and a 1000 watt amp and i dont know where to hook up the rem wire for the amp to my duel

Some amps come with extra, power,rem,ground, so you can , power up another Amp Without runing to many wires. , or using a power block.like a parallel, being your 1st Amp your power block, and your remote, ground .

if you are are talking about an amp and subs simply get an amp istalation kit take the big red wire and hook it to your battery with the fuse that should be in the kit,thats going to go into the b+ on the amp take the black wire and find somewere near your amp with a bolt going into the car seat bolts work the best, this is for your ground. the little blue wire goes from the back of the radio at the remote wire to the rem inlet on your amp.i always put mine on a toggle switch so if you dont want it on you can just flip it off.To do this just simply run a 12 power wire into the switch and your remote wire coming out of the switch.Finally hook your spearkers into the amp red is posotive black is negative.thats all there is to an audio system.

if it was hooked to a 1 ohm load its most likely fried. what watt were you trying to push?

Don't get confused, it's very simple. +12v----direct supply from battery.
REM---also 12+ supplied from igntion switch. (when the key is turned on, this supply should have 12+ to on the amplifier.
GND--12- minus (negative)
Try it you will be able to set this up. REM can also be used with a single switch which can break the 12+ when amplifer is not in use, or else this will take all ur power battery. You can place a fuse on 12+. Thanks

check the ohms on the subs if its single 2 ohm make sure you dont bridge it avoid 1 ohm unless the amp is class d duel 2s make 4 or 1 depending on if you series on paralel them duel 4s make 2 ohms or 8 you want to make a duel 4ohm 2ohm and put one on each chanel email me for better exp.

Why would you hook up 4000 watt amp to a speaker that has only 1000 watts. Try a 800 watt amp instead unless you just dont want the spealers.

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter probe on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red probe alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

2x12 in sub each duel voice coil can iether wire to 1 or 4 ohms. im guessing you have everything wired up in series (1 ohm) and aer probably burning out the amp.
