if control menu is stuck (locked means other things)

Not in the monitor, there is a sound bar that attaches to the bottom of the screen that is optional that added speakers to that model.

The menu should tell you to press 1 (or 2) to get rid of it. The (1) and (2) refer to the first two buttons on the bottom right side of the monitor.
