I have cleaned the rollers of the back side of the printer with just water and a piece of cloth, not seemed to be dirty. When i send a work to the printer o feed the paper with the control pannel button it start to do some normal noise feeding the paper. It seems to be in two steps: fisrt to take the fisrt page of the stack, and second rool it in. In that first step the first page should get into the printer like 3 cm or 1 inch, and stay there ready for the job. And here is the problem, the printer does not do it by itself, so it stop and send the no paper message. If i do it manually by pushing lightly the fisrt page while it sounds feeding the first step, that page reach the back rollers and it works properly. So the tip it is not going with the back roller, it is with part of getting and separate the first page. The mechanism seems to be to much internal to get it clean, if it is dirty (i dont know), without disassembly. I have never done this before, so i'm afraid to do it and not get the problem solved. Any idea of what is better to? Disassembly or not, and assembly? I have not found documentation to do it properly. Thanks in advance all of you, any help is greeting
The problem may be in the paper sensor
it might dusty or not returned to its position
to solve , open rear / duplexer door, look ! clean using air blower

OK first I always use a little rubbing alchol and a soft rag to clean the rollers, but roller replacement is a better idea if the printer is several years old. If the tray is lifting up to feed the paper, then the top roller is to fault. You can find roller repair kits on ebay for a really resonalbe amount. the roller replacement is a fairly easy job and the kits usually com with the seperation pad that is also needed. Unless you are using the printer very heavily, you should not have a problem. I have an 8500 that I have had for over 3 years and have no problem. Hope this helps.
Testimonial: "Thank you, your answer helps for sure. The printer have not done a so heavy duty neither so old to have get the back rollers surface peel dry, after have cleaned them it seems to do properly their function (after feed manually the first page initially). The cause may be in the internal roller or separation pad (to get first page out of the stack) or the tray that doesnt lift as you answered. I do not know how the printer is in the inside, but i guess the problem may be in that internal parts you allude in your printer. I will look for that parts on ebay. So it seems that the only way is get the screwdriver and valor to disassemble it in order to verify that parts and then replace them. Great help, thank you again"
