Oven Light Will Not Shut Off - GE Range Oven Model: PS968SP1SS

If you have already replaced the Hi-Amp Door Switch on your GE Range Oven (Model: PS968SP1SS), but the oven light still will not turn off, there are a few additional steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the light switch: Ensure that the light switch is functioning properly. It is usually located near the oven door frame or control panel. Press the switch manually to see if the light turns on and off. If it is not working, you may need to replace the light switch.
  2. Inspect the light socket: Examine the light socket for any signs of damage or corrosion. If the socket appears to be damaged, you may need to replace it.
  3. Verify the wiring connections: Check the wiring connections between the light socket, the Hi-Amp Door Switch, and the main control board. Ensure that all connections are secure and properly connected. Loose or faulty wiring can cause the light to stay on.
  4. Test the main control board: As you suspect, a faulty main control board could also be the cause of the issue. You can try resetting the control board by turning off the power to the oven at the circuit breaker for a few minutes and then turning it back on. If the light still does not turn off, it may indicate a problem with the control board that requires replacement.
If you have performed these troubleshooting steps and the light still won't turn off, it would be advisable to contact GE customer support or a qualified technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose the problem more accurately and recommend the appropriate solution.

I have an Element E4AA43R that is displaying vertical lines across the tv. Im not sure which board I need to replace to correct this problem.

Vertical lines across a TV screen can be caused by a variety of issues, including a faulty T-con board, a defective main board, or a problem with the display panel itself. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the cables: Ensure that all cables are securely connected to the TV and the source device (such as a cable box, gaming console, or DVD player). Loose or damaged cables can cause issues with the display.
  2. Test the source device: Connect a different source device (such as a laptop or another TV) to the same input on the TV. If the lines persist, it's likely an issue with the TV itself.
  3. Check the T-con board: The T-con board (also known as the timing control board) controls the timing of the image on the screen. If this board is faulty, it can cause vertical lines. You can try replacing the T-con board to see if it resolves the issue.
  4. Check the main board: The main board controls the overall functioning of the TV. If it's faulty, it can cause issues with the display. You can try replacing the main board to see if it resolves the issue.
  5. Check the display panel: If the above steps don't resolve the issue, it's possible that there's a problem with the display panel itself. Unfortunately, this is the most expensive part of the TV to replace and may not be worth the cost.
It's important to note that diagnosing and repairing electronics can be dangerous and should only be attempted by a qualified professional. If you're not comfortable with troubleshooting or repairing the TV yourself, it's best to contact a licensed repair technician for assistance.

.. a problem with this TV? If shuts off after 10 seconds

Fault to the main power supply regulator section. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Washer fills and washers btu won't drain or spin have already replaced the water/drain pump but still will not drain Model number is GLWS1339ESO

This applies to most washers:
Loss of power to a drain pump and /or drain valves can usually be traced to two main problem areas:
1. Faulty timer (aka rotary control) units
2. Discontinuity due to wire fatigue or loose connections.

Fault finding of #1 can be difficult, particularly if the person doing the fault finding does not have the necessary tools, and does not understand machine logic or the steps that create the whole.
Fault finding in the case of #2 is somewhat easier, since visual and/or manual inspection is a great aid. However, a multimeter is still an almost indispensable tool and allows easier fault-finding and diagnosis.

I have a Insignia 32 inch LCD TV Model number NS-LCD32. It recently started displaying no inputs. The backlight comes on but no inputs/ no sound. Green lines display if you press the menu, input, channel...

The first troubleshooting step would be to measure all the voltages from the power supply to the other circuits boards specially the 5 volts going to the main board. If you have the following: Insignia 6HA0112010 Power Supply, check FU502 for open conditions.
If all the voltages appear normal, then the main board should be replace since is hard to find individual components for a component level repair.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
