My Xerox Phaser 4510 is giving the message to replace Cartridge. The message doesn't disapper after replacing a new cartridge, but it's telling me to install P/N 113R00711 or 113R00712?

I just fixed mine. You need part #604K47890 Gear Coupling Assembly Kit. Cheapest I found was $6.99 at www.sparepartswarehouse.com plus $13.95 s/h. Remove the waste cartridge & you can see the white plastic gear. I tried to disassemble the printer (using service manual) in order to replace this part. Good luck. It looks like you need to take the WHOLE thing apart. Easier method is to get a drill or dremel & grind away the thin metal to make the whole slightly larger. Just be careful with the dust/particles. I did this & it worked perfectly.

Make sure the copy cartridges are fully in place all the way in. Check to be sure you have a "New" cartridge and the plastic cover has been completely removed from the toner hole. Sometimes they break and the toner will not go into the drum, causing problems.
Sometimes the side door is not closed with both hands and causes the spring plugger not to fully go in correctly. The plunger breaks and will not open the cover on the copy cartridge. This causes other mechanical binds you cannot see.
Extra care is needed when closing this side door.
On this machine sometimes you need a Xerox service call to make repairs and replacements of broken parts and to ensure the copy cartridge is functioning well.
It might not be related to the toner sensor but due to updates the machine software can be made to make changes in the way the machine operates.
This can only be done with a Xerox laptop computer by the Xerox service representative.
This will fix scanner timing problems at startup due to software update changes.
I don't mean to give you another information, but will help you decide if you need to make other decisions in the future.
Good luck.

Not that I know of. Did you receive a chip with the toner? If not that chip would need replaced to reset the counter;

In your case the cartridge may be damaged..if you do not have another one ...try to insert another color in its place and see if it is seen proper..and move this one in the others place and see if it does the same ..if does,,than you know that yo need another cartridge...for magenta ..If you know how to do it ..a reset will help and may make it recognizable again .
to reset try to unplug ..and press the power button and plug it again while keeping the power button down for a few seconds..(about 10 to 15 ).
