Couldn't find anything on it but I would recommend hooking the cold to both using a Hose Y-Connector to make sure the hot side has pressure tp protect the pump and avoid possible back flow.
Do y7ou have 2 hoses at the back of the machine one for cold water and one connected to the hot water tap of the house. If not then you have a cold water in only. If you have 2 hoses have you connected the hoses into the machine correctly Have you checked to see if your machine has a heating element under the bowl for heating the water. As an appliance shop to verify if you have by the model number of the machine. otherwise you have a cold washing machine and unless you can plumb hot water to it that is all you will have.
It's hard to say without more details, but normally, these machines have two hoses, each connecting to a seperate water spigot, one for hot, one for cold. You don't say how you hooked these hoses up, but it's possible you've crossed the hoses. It's also possible you've hooked up to a faucet that has only ONE spigot, using a "Y" connector. Take a look: You must have two spigots, and each must have a hose going to the appropriate water intake on the back of the machine. They should be marked "HOT"/"COLD" (or, possibly red for hot & blue for cold). If this is not the problem, then you have a much trickier problem that will involve bringing in a trained professional. Good luck.
Why has nobody mentioned the fact that if you “draw off” hot water
using a tap beside the washing machine you can get “instant” hot water
to your hot-fill. I have been doing this for years – now that all my
hot water is heated by a crabon-neutral energy source (either wood or
solar) I feel it is even more energy efficient.
As for water consumption, my house has a secondary return pipe on the
hot water circuit with a temperature sensor fitted to the pump so that
it only switches on when you turn a hot water tap on – you than turn
the tap off, wait 5-10 minutes while the water circulates, then turn it
on again, by which time the hot water only has ashort distance to
travel and you don’t waster much down the drain.
However, I have been interested to read about the pros of cold fill
only, especially the arguments about such a small volume of water being
used anyway and the possibly improved wash performance? Also, I was
dismayed to read that washing machines with hot and cold fill don’t use
the hot wate very efficiently.
So would I be better off going for a hot and cold machine while they’re
still available or going for a high-efficiency cold fill only machine?
I am still minded to get an LG with hot and cold fill… comments please?
Hello. your fill valve is faulty and needs to be replaced.
here is how the fill valve is supposed to work:
The fill valve--which is about the size of a coffee cup--is sometimes also called a "water inlet valve." It controls the entry of hot and cold water into the machine. The valve has three major components:
A hot-water solenoid
A cold-water solenoid
A mixing valve body
The inlet valve has three hoses connected to it, for :
The hot water from the house
The cold water from the house
The water directed into the washing machine's inner tub (either hot or cold, or both) to fill it with water
When electricity flows to one or both solenoids, water flows through the valve into the washing machine's inner tub. When the electricity stops, the water also stops.
Hello Friend, I think your machine will work properly if you add a water line splitter. You would connect to the single cold water tap and on the other end you would have two water hoses . Connect one hose to the cold water inlet of your washer and then connect the other hose to the hot water inlet. You can get these at Home Depot. Happy to help, Tim.
Could be an air lock in the water pipes, turn off the water to the washer, disconnect the hoses, and hold them over the sink or into a bucket, then turn the water taps back on to the washer.
The water should come through at full pressure.,
If it does not , then the problem is with your supply and not the washer.
Hope this helps.
Plz leave feedback.
Ta.
