HI. This question and issue is one of the most misunderstood attributes of the PSP unit. Essentially; The AOSS Button and indicator are on your router. This is not on the PSP hand held device, at all. With that said; There were some earlier models that actually had this particular button on the top right side of the device. This has been removed and is not part of the newer PSP designs.
In order to connect an AOSS-enabled client(PSP) to a compatible router, you first will need to press the router's AOSS button for 3-5 seconds; which illuminates a flashing amber indicator on the unit. This puts the router into "AOSS mode," during which it can accept configuration requests from AOSS clients. Make sure you align your PSP Parallel with the router to get Max signal strength.
NOTE_ There are some routers on the market(low level), that are not equipped with this feature.linksys models will be one of those none AOSS compatible brands, among others.
AOSS is what you would see on some high end routers. if your router
doesn't support this method or have this button you can't set up your psp using it.
The psp does not have an AOSS button. AOSS
(AirStation OneTouch Secure
System) is used for wireless setup of devices like your psp for your network. Your
router will have a button on it for this. If it does not then it more
than likely does not have the ability to set up the devices in this manner.
here is the steps for setting it up if you did have this feature on your router.
1)To use this set up for the PSP go to Settings>Network
Settings>
infrastructure mode>new connection>automatic - AOSS. At this point the PSP will
tell you to push the button on the router and that you have two minutes
or else the attempt to connect will stop.
again this only works if your router has the AOSS button. and it is
not found on your psp.
You should find the aoss button near the power on/off button. Older PSP models dont have aoss button in which case you need to set it up with the router.
No, there is no AOSS Button on the PSP. You have to have a router. This router is hooked up to your computer and is around a $100.00 but you have to have DSL or something like it to run a phone line though. If you do not have this you can go to a Holiday Inn or Wal-mart parking lot who has this router hooked up already. You can access to the internet there.

I think there is no AOSS button on your PSP. AOSS is a wireless solution made by www.buffalotech.com. Most new wireless routers/access points has this capability. AOSS is on the wireless router/access point and not on the PSP.
AOSS will automagically
determines and configures the connection of a PSP to a wireless access point by pressing the AOSS button on the wireless access point.
