Start with 1 turn out from bottom on both and adjust from there as needed. The screw closest the engine is low speed mixture adjustment and the outer is high speed mix. adj. Hope that helps. Dwain

Homelike chainsaw carb settings high/low

Hi, most chainsaws start with carb settings at 1&1/4 turns out( hi+lo) usually once the chainsaw has been run in, the 'hi' screw can be turned in an eighth, tickover set low enough not to cut out but high enough not to engage the clutch, cheers Billy

I have a homelite weedeater i need the carb screw settings to adjust the carb

A good starting point is from a lightly seated position, back the Hi and Lo needles out about 1.5 turns each. From that point you can fine tune the machine.

Have trouble starting homelite textron chian saw carb setting

First is the gas mix right? 2 ids the air filter clean? 3. have you replaced the tank fuel filter to make sure it's getting gas? 4. is the plastic line cracked? 5. adjust both carb screws all the way down gently then reverse the screws counter clockwise 2 and 1/2 turns, this should allow it to start and run, once it has started let it warm up and adjust the idle for it to run smooth without dying. Once its running rev it up to make sure it does not have any dead spots in it then try a test cut, if it bogs down adjust the gas screw to in rich it just a little and try cutting again if it does not bog down you should be set. there are other things that can cause it to run poorly like a bad carb gasket or loose screws on the carburetor. If you need more help post here and I will give you some other things to look at.

HOMELITE Textron Chain Saw, wont stay running properly.

The preset is to turn them all the way in (Don't tighten them hard or you will damage the needle) and then back each out 1 1/2 turns. This will get you started. You can then run it at full throttle and turn the high speed jet in untill you hear a change in the RPM. Then turn it out untill you hear the same. Find the happy medium.
