Blinking Fridge Light and Both Fridge & Freezer Warming Up

Check your owners manual for the code. You are seeing a default code and not a temp.

This is going to be a problem with either the thermostat control or the compressor relay from the freezer to frigde, either way, you will need to call a service tech.

There must be lot of dirt and dust on the coolant tubes running from compressor in the rear. To solve that...do the following.
Disconnect the refrigerator. Pull it out so you can access the rear bottom end of the fridge where you can go to the black compressor. You will find tiny tubes running on black flat curved sheets. Feel the tubes and clean the entire area with cleaning solution or water with a damp cloth. After cleaning and drying, connect the electricity and the fridge will work fine.

Your computer has failed & needs to be replaced.Your looking at 300-500 dollars to repair.

1.If this is only a fridge the one knob will be for the min and the other for the max.
max. : As soon as you switch the fridge on it will cool down the fridge to max cool down temp. example -2deg.
min. : As soon as the fridge reaches the max cool down temp and it had switch the compressor off, the fridge will start to warm up slowly, by the time it reaches the min allowed warming up temp, it will switch the compressor back on and do the cycle all over again.
2. If it is a fridge/freezer setup, the one knob will be for the fidge and the other for the freezer. If the temp in the freezer is fine a fan is activated and blows all the cool air to the fridge and controls the temp. by activating the fan.

Hi there, I have the same problem with my samsung side by side the model no is- RSA 1Wtmh .
The light started blinking after a power cut and the elec came back on and the fridge light just blinks on panel instead of showing temp (the fridge and freezer are working)?

Your temperature alarm is going off as it has exceeded your set high temp.

Usually means you have had a power failure or you have a thermostat, starter relay, compressor or freon problem.

To find out what is happening get a therometer and put in fridge. A fridge / freezer thermometer is best but any will help

Problem is the circut board in the back, you can go to ge appliances.com go to service and support type in model# go to unit and main board parts to order.

Control board has gone bad....

What happens is the defrost is controlled electronically from a circuit board, when this goes bad, the freezer quits defrosting, and freezes the fans that circulate air through the fridge side of things.

To check this, unplug the entire fridge, leave the freezer open, wait for it to defrost a bit, if this causes the fridge to start cooling again when you plug it back in, then its the defrost. You should also see ice crystals on the back of the freezer just under the icemaker.
