A lens error has to be sent into repairs or else you need to buy a new camera. Repairs is 800-706-2534 and then choose extension for repairs.

A lens error has to be sent into Casio to be fixed. There is nothing that we can do outside of repairs to fix that. We are required to have you send that in or find an authorized person to fix it.

When I power up my Casio Exilim Z750, it begins to start up, the lens extends, and then it says, "Lens Error" on the screen and shuts down?

I read on the Casio website that this is due to an impact, meaning, the camera must have fallen or hit something really hard and strong.

Lens error 2 indicates that there is something wrong in the lens assembly. One possible damage concerns the image stabilization mechanism.

I also own a Casio EX-V7. My sister dropped it so hard that a dent has appeared on one of the front corners. Everytime I switch on the camera on record mode, LENS ERROR 2 appears for a few seconds.

Despite this, I can happily use the camera as usual. However, it's just annoying to see the Error.

I'm planning to bring it to a service center within a month from now.

"lens error" will only be fixed by sending into repairs. 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 2. Tell them you have a lens error and they will tell you where to send it.
