P-touch extra label maker is printing upside down and back to front

Question edited for clarity and add maker.
There are many models under the P-Touch brand, so generic answers only but in 90% of cases it is an incorrectly seated cartridge..

Often a label printer sticks after a lot of use, especially if you have had a jam. Remove labels and preferably with a vaccum cleaner clean out any dust and bits left in. Turn it upside down and try again.
Then try printing a 'blank label' with no labels in and see if the motor starts. There may be a sensor that prevents this - if so clean sensor

Use the CD/DVD label maker program your burner should come with (or some other one). Create the CD/DVD label however you want, just don't be too extravagant... it may not come out very nice. Put your lightscribe CD/DVD media label-side down (upside down) into the tray and print away. Then you wait, wait, wait, and wait some more. Afterwards, you'll probably want to actually put some data on that disc.

This depends on the TAPE CARTRIDGE you have in your label printer. Apparenlty, you have a TRANSPARENT TAPE on it, and the printer prints in BLACK only.

Just replace the tape cartridge

Tune machine off. Press and hold F and the delete button (2 buttons below the F). Whilst holding these down, turn the unit on by pressing and releasing the power button. Then release the F and delete buttons and the language option will appear.

Hi, it seem your label maker is set to the last(amount) of labels printed. Go to: Print Labels, click; Number of Labels; clear to set to (1) Label. That should stop the run off of labels. Thanks paul70f9

Where the cartridge has a hole in it, make sure the tape is IN the print head, not over or under it. Also, check the type & color of the tape. They have some strange combinations that are only visible under certain conditions.

when you have the label maker upside down...
place the cartridge so the WHITE 12mm ect sign is on top.
pull the tape out a bit and pull it up so that it stick out where the tape would print out of.
place the cover back on tightly and turn on..
push CODE, SPACE, it will feed though and you'll be all set.

change the batteries first
