I had the same problem like this on my machine. The best way to fix it is to turn the machine off completely and hold on the eject button then turn the power on. You want the first thing the player does is to eject the disk without trying to read it first.
I hope it works let me know if it doesn't and i'll try and recreate the problem on my player and see what i can do to get the disk out.
The last resort is to manually take the disk out but lets cross that bridge if my suggestion above doesn't work.
1) you can do it by 3 ways: a) by remote control eject b) in dvd player by eject or open/close c) by hand turn off the dvd and put a little knife and pull out. this means that the problem is the servomechanism motor for eject, is defective. Go to the repair shop TV for fix it. God bless you
Unplug the TV/VCR/DVD Combo from the main power for a couple of minutes, the unit may eject the tape at the power ON. You can also try openening the unit, reset the loading posts and eject the tape by manually turning gears, motors etc..You have to know what you're doing otherwise, you will do more damage or get injured and don't forget HIGH VOLTAGE CAN KILL. Woah! You don't want to hear this but forcing a second disc into the drive has probably destroyed the drive read head. They are pretty tough and it might be able to survive but you will most certainly have to dismantle the drive to remove the DVD and not create any more damage. Kind of like scraping someone elses car in a parking lot. More damage is done when you try to back off of the other car than the initial hit. (not like that's ever happened to me :) )
Turned machine off at the mains for about 15 minutes. When I turned it back on, it started 'reading' again but then a message came on screen saying that it was checking the disc....it said that the procedure would take about 15 minutes but stuck on 'five minutes left'. Tried the eject button again after about 2 hours and the drawer opened. Checking message still showed so I turned the machine off and on again and everything was fine.
Disconnect the Power Cord. Open the Case and go to the DVD unit. On the right side of the unit you will see an indentation which is the mechanical portion of the DVD Unit.
Push the indentatation in, it is the eject switch. The DVD unit door opens remove the DVD stuck in the unit.
Put cover back on plug the unit in, insert a workable DVD and all should be OK.
The problem was the unit could not read a Defective DVD which I made and the unit was locked in to reading the DVD.
my tape got stuck too, i opened the bottom, then located the mechanism that started the eject program. After turning some wheels the eject automatically started.
Try that...
