SOURCE: Dip switch settings

I've had the same problem w/ light turning on/off. Called customer support and 3x waited 6 minutes to leave message and get no call back. Finally got a human and she told me to change code in receiver and transmitter. This was no easy task as the fan is very high up and the stupid thing needs to come down to adjust the receiver. Changed the setting and it worked for two days until it started back with the lights turning on at all hours. I noticed there's a toggle switch in the remote that is not explained in the manual. It says CFL on one side and INC on the other. The light will NOT dim if it's in CFL and tonight is the first time I've switched it to that setting. I'm hoping this is some kind of lockout for random signals going out of the remote...It would be nice to have a proper explanation in the manual. I should have gone with another Casablanca fan--Hunter products are lame.

SOURCE: Hunter Remote Control # 27185

Do not use the factory default position in either fan. Double check the dip switches, and make sure they are the same for each individual receiver and remote.Different codes for each. Dip switches are the oppsite direction in the remote for some reason?

SOURCE: No dip switch in Hunter 27157 remote control.

Those aren't transistors in the transmitter they are jumpers. Match the jumper settings with your dip switch settings in the receiver. You can move the jumpers in the transmitter using a small needle nose pliers. An open jumper in the transmitter equals an OFF setting on the dip switch in the receiver.

Good luck!

SOURCE: Can't control light at switch

It is wired so that you control the light with the remote. You cannot have it both ways. You either control it with the wall switch or the remote. Once you kill the power to the receiver by turning off power at the wall switch, you are only applying power to the receiver when you turn power back on. You are not supplying power to the light. You then must turn on the light with the remote. This is the purpose of a remote fan/light control. You could rewire it to control the light with the switch and only control the fan with the remote if you wish, but as you have it now, it is working correctly.

My have a hunter ceiling fan with remote control.it comes on with the wall switch ,but the lights and remote control won't work .can someone please explain why?

Try changing the dip codes in the receiver & transmitter. I wouldn't advise putting in the same code for both fans. Also, you might need new receivers.

Have a hunter ceiling fan with light kit and remote. Lights have started turning on and off by themselves ?

This is likely caused by stray frequencies in the neighborhood. Change the frequency on your system and see if the lights go off less frequently.

See the manual for the remote system. You'll need to go into the top of the fan and change some little switches (dip switches) and set the same frequency on the transmitter (what most call "the remote").

Hunter ceiling fan (model no. 25736) and light not starting

Home Depot sells universal remote systems (transmitter and receiver) for around $30 (in Delaware & Pennsylvania) -- don't know price in Chicago).

I'd just replace it. Hunter may be correct that they are the only source for the receiver, but if you get a new transmitter as well, you don't need their receiver. The labor is the same either way.
