Are you specifically talking about "settings" or are you wanting to restore the PC to its original factory condition? Original Factory Condition can be done with your system restore CD/DVD that you created from the restore partition or from the restore partition itself. In either instance you will lose any data stored if you choose to do an erase wich is the only option to bring it back to its original factory condition.
depending on your computer you can psuh the f9-12 whichever your computer uses, and then there should be a recovery or fix option again depending on your certain computer and there will be an option to restore to factory defaults, if u want u can email me your computer and model # [email protected]
You will have to get a factory restore disk and if you already have one place in the DVD or CD tray and start the computer follow the on screen instructions to restore the computer back to its original condition. Some PC's have a separate restore partition on the C:\ drive you can go to my computer and tick to open go to C:\ and see if there is a partition for this. It should say recovery or restore. If you do not have this option you may order one from the factory or go to their web site and download a copy of the original software. NOTE: people when you buy a computer and have this option to download restore disk by all means do so right away. Also store you factory disks where you will find them if ever needed. John

It seems that the OS on your system is corrupted, You might need to re-install the OS or Restore the computer to original factory condition.

If you do not have an OS disc you can restore the computer to factory condition by doing this:
Turn off the system let the Device be connected to the power Turn on the power button Hold the Ctrl (Control Key) and Start Tapping the F11 You will get a Restore / Recovery Screen Follow the instructions on the screen Your computer will be restored back to factory condition.
