Go to youtube ,type in the model of your camera, and see if your camera comes out. i did a video on a repair years ago, but not sure if its still up, or part of the repair is still up. i purchase a used part (ribbon) that was torn, off a used camera off ebay

The LCD screen may be turned OFF. To turn the LCD backlight off or on, press and hold the DISPLAY/BATT INFO button for a few seconds. After the backlight has turned off or on, release the button.

SOURCE: LCD on Sony HDR HC1 not working

This happens when flexible wire between LCD board and camcorder board got broken or cracked.
Camcorder needs that connecting flexible wire replacement, let me know exact model of Sony camcorder if you need part number of flexible wire.

SOURCE: Sony HDR-HC3 LCD touchscreen blacked-out.

I have the same problem, screen went red then about a month later went black. If I rotate the screen so its on the outside when flat against the camcorder side, it works OK so I'm living with that for now, but you can't use the corder in the normal way for recording viewing the screen. All other functions are OK.

I have the problem, but not the solution.

SOURCE: have E:61:10 flashing up on screen. cannot find it

error code alerts user for malfunctions detected by the camera. the error E:61:10 would pertain to the zoom mechanism malfunction. issue may be with with lens block zoom MR sensor or zoom motor drive circuit. 1st step troubleshooting steps would be to reset camcorder (check manual for reset button location) and power reset (remove battery and leave camcorder w/o any power source for a minute). if still the same then service would be required. hope this info helps. thanks.

Slow down. Define the problem. Tell them what you want. Answer their data gathering questions (They are trying to answer YOUR questions--Listen to theirs). Give them concise, to the point, courteous, clear, answers, without complaining or having a whine in your voice or attitude.
Then, accept reality. If a 2010 purchase is out of a warranty, decide if you want to pay for fixing, or pay to replace it. You pay when its out of warranty. That's our society's decision to have the business laws and customs that we do. Accept It.
Think about it, man. Put yourself in the other guys perspective. Look at your question for instance. We don't know what an HDR-XR150 is. We don't know where SM Fairview is (and does it really matter? does that help you?).
Approach an adult situation as an adult, and watch how much further you get towards the result you want.

hi i format my handycam hdr-xr150e(sony) hdd then i see e:31:00 then i insert memory stick and do wht you help(1- Place the memory stick 2- Go to "Home" -> "Manage Media" (or something like that) -> And select the option to change to the memory stick, instead of HD.) now i can record but in top of screen the e:31:00 not removed

Sony HDR-HC1 The buttons on the touch panel do not work at all. The manual says to reset the calibration but this is impossible as you have to access the calbration through the buttons on the touch...

The most likely cause for this is a damaged or defective flexible ribbon connector between the LCD and the camera body and can be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it’s not a user serviceable problem and will need to usually be repaired by a qualified service technician.

You can purchase a new LCD Flex cable for a Sony HDR-HC3 (Same as HDR HC7) from e-bay for 27 US$.
You can also download free service manual from internet that explains simple repair.
