Philips htl2150 sound bar keeps turning off - Televison & Video

The Philips CSS2123B/F7 uses a remote control to power on the sound bar. See the documentation here: https://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/CSS2123B_F7/soundbar-home-cinema-speakers/support . Otherwise, find a universal remote control that is compatible with the Philips sound bar. You may need to try multiple codes to get it to work.

I hope this helps. If the IR receiver is not working on this sound bar, then I'm not sure it's worth repairing the unit.

Sounds like (no pun inteneded) the TV is not sending the SB any signal. When the SB is on do you get sound from it?

I have a Proscan Flat Screen TV Model PLEDV2845A. I want to connect my Philips HTL2101A Sound Bar.

I have intially connected both via Coax cable as the soundbar does NOT have HDMI port. I then went into the setup on the TV to Sound, set sound to PCM

Initially it worked fine. 2nd day it will not won't work. Per instructions from Philips I have upgraded the firmware on the SoundBar.


Any ideas

Look for the digital audio out port on the TV. It has a rubber plug covering it to keep dirt out. remove that plug and connect the sound bar.

I did not get a remote with my philips sound bar can you tell me how I can turn it on

the relay is the safety protective device..sometimes a defective component or something. maybe an overloaded power supply might caused this problem..so before any thing could gets worst..the relay will shut the unit..

Check the iPod dock connector for dust or pocket-lint. Use compressed air to blow it out if there's debris in there.

Then check the sound bar's connector to make sure the universal dock connector is clean and doesn't have any damage to the connector.

I have sound but no picture. At first, there was picture but a lot of red lines running up and down as well as across. There were also two bars in the middle of the screen. I turned it off for a while and let it cool down but when I turned it on there was no sound at all. Do I need to have philips replace it? It's under warranty
