I have a Samsung DLP HL-P4667W. It is approx. 4years old. Within the past week, the picture has been "quivering"; "flickering" and sometimes there are "blotches" with the color. For example a human face may have a certain "blotchy-ness" to it. Up until a few weeks ago, the picture was quite good.... Do I need a bulb replacement ? Or is this symptomatic of deeper problems ? thanks.

samsung dlp tv hlp4667w still picture and white lines over picture with no sound, i turn it off and then on by unpluging the tv and it worked. the picture is shaky from right to left. there is no response from the remote or the main switch on tv when this happens.
Samsung had an issue with there prizms falling apart. The prizm is found just past the color wheel in the light engine. This is pretty complicated and best left to a pro.
This is most likely your Digital Processor Module. So far most all makes are selling them as a complete Light Engine Assembly which includes the light tunnel, digital module and color wheel. They are rather expensive, some are in the $800.00 range, a few more dollars and you have a new set.
