There are two methods to reset. Hard reset and factory reset. To make it a hard reset just unplug the set from the AC mains wall socket and reinsert after an hour or so. To do a factory reset, you have to enter it's service mode. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/http://homenol.blogspot.com/ Visit these sites to get more details. Same problem. Soft and hard reset can't even stard any advice screen. When the problem started, it was frozen at the dell round simbol, that i just could turn it off by removing battery. Now, its even worse, the screen is off, even after pressing the two and tree buttons at the same time, it doesn't hard reset. What else should i do?
With much regret I did a hard reset. It appeared that some how in my carrying case that hard reset got started and I could not get it out of the lock up with out taking it clear through. I hadn't backed up for a couple of month but didn't loose much data. Thanks for the follow up.
When you hard reset by press power button then press the reset button, did you hold them for about 5 seconds? If hard reset does not work, then it's probably hardware problems
