My ps3 won't load any games

The code means "dirty or damaged disc". The PS3 has encountered some kind of problem reading the disc.

Possibly the laser could be having problems, possibly the disc.

Try another game disc. If it works, the game disc you are trying to start is somehow damaged.

If it doesn't, the laser most likely has a problem.

If the laser is the problem you can try and clean it with a DVD laser lens cleaner like this one :

okay, best thing to do is to make sure there is no dust or specs of dirt on the laser cause that is what reads the discs and loads the info.

Get a can of air and blow it gently into the drive so it gets the dust and/or dirt particles out of the way.

Now go ahead and try different games, music cd's, dvd's, etc. If it still doesnt read them then your going to need a new laser which you can search for on Ebay and get them pretty cheap and most of the people will give instructions on how to change out the laser.

your laser had stopped reading games and most likely bluray movies also sometimes they still read regular dvd's and music cd's sometimes non of then but I can guaranty is your laser you need to know what model you have because there is 2 different types of lasers for ps3 and you can install the laser your self or have someone do it for you we are a ps3 specialist we carry all major ps3 parts and accessories but if you can find somebody locally is better for you

thats quite a common problem..you will have to contact sony for a replacement if its in the warranty period..i had the same problem. :(

oh that happened to mine its because the laser is broken you need to take itback to the shop and either get it repaired or they will give you a new one . they should do . but all the 40 GB ones are breaking at though moment my friends broke and he got an 80 GB instead :D hope this helped

Hello. When you put in a disc, listen for the disc to start spinning. If you do not hear that then the laser and/or the spindle have blown out. You will have to get your Blu-Ray player serviced by a pro or Sony. Sony may fix it for free. They know that the drives are failing. So call them first.

if it wont load your icons and freezes before your xmb, put it into safemode and try restoring the filing system. to get it into safemode...

hold down the power button while the console is in standby. the light will go from red to green.it will beep once flash green beep again, and then beep a third time. after the third beep the light will turn red.

once the light is red, take your finger off the power button and place it back on the power button. the light will go from red to green, beep once flash and then beep twice quickly. after it does the double beep, take your finge roff. the light will stay green and you'll get a screen asking you to connect the controller.

after connecting the controller, try option 3, or whichever option is restore filing system. this can possibly correct media loading and will 95% of the time fix the console when it freezes before loading up your icons(the xmb)

i have the same problem i put all my game discs in and i see the little circle reading the disc but nothing show up i need help i want to play badddd

man i too have a proble mm mine ps3 stopped reading ps3 disc but it reads only ps2 and other disc. but wont read ps3.. disc i tried getting a new one but it didnt work
