Have someone clear codes and reset all adaptives and then see if its fixed. If not then youll need an ECU(computer). Hooking the cables up wrong will spike the computer and fry one or more quad drivers in the ECU.

SOURCE: 2002 toyota camry. Changed

Hi, check the EGR valve to make sure it is closed at idle and operating properly. In addition, check the fuel injector flow. Even though you checked the injector waveform, the injector nozzle may still be faulty. Also perform a cylinder leak down test, you may have an intake valve that is leaking.......

SOURCE: 1994 Toyota Camry XLE replaced fuel pump & filter car starts & idles but boggs out and cuts off when pressing gas pedal?

have you pulled codes or checked the fuel pressure? It could be a host of things, like a clogged air filter restricting the flow of air into the engine, a bad air meter, clogged injectors, etc. Engine codes will help you start narrowing things down.

Has the engine air filter ever been changed?

I would strongly recommend you take it back to the shop and tell them to fix it. If you have someone else fix the problem, the first shop is off the hook for responsibility to cover their error.
They could have left something unplugged.

i would double check the fuses and then check the charging system.for some reason the alt fuse blew unless it was jumped off backwards or cables were hooked up backwards.on all toyota the batt and brake light will come on when it is not charging.make sure all fuses are good and alt has power at the big wire on top.
