Samsung LCD TV LE40R8 - Hard Reset

How do I reset the picture on my LCD TV to the factory settings?
The P.Mode button on the remote of your LCD TV lets you cycle through four factory preset picture modes: Dynamic, Standard, Movie, and Custom. To return the picture on your TV to the original factory preset, press the P.Mode button on your remote until the TV displays the Standard mode.

Autuotune samsung 42 inch plasma

please follow this step:
you have customized the picture and menu settings on your Samsung TV only to find that they keep reverting back to their default positions, this is because your unit is in what is referred to as "Shop Mode." This is the demonstration mode used by electronic retailers to show potential buyers all the features a Samsung television supports. Press the "Info" button on your remote control, and if under the "Picture Mode" heading it reads "Shop Mode," hold down the "Menu" button on the TV itself until the screen reads "Dynamic Mode." This has changed the picture mode to one of the pre-set positions. You may now change any settings you'd like.
God bless you

I have a 550 series plasma Samsung Tv 54''.. I cannot get the picture to pick up for example the football score at the top of the screen, nor the NASCAR readout at the top. I get a piece of it but can't...

The problem may be not in your TV but in your receiver, if you use a cable or satellite receiver. Sometimes those also have similar settings for picture mode - it's rare, but I've seen it.

If not, then it must be tv's zoom mode is just set to something other than "standard".

Your TV is in DEMO-STORE MODE.
Go to menu, find Plug & Play option, start it, and when asked, select Home Mode, than Enter and than just Exit.
