The lock on the driver side door of my 98 camry does not turn when you put the key in. The door locks and unlocks just fine when you use the electronic lock and if you use the key in the passenger side door. All of the other doors work normally. I doubt the lock is just stuck, I'm wondering if anyone knows what part I need.
Really sounds like the tumbler pins are stuck in the cylinder of the lock. mite want to spray some lubricant like(PB Blaster)or WD-40 in the cylinder key hole and push key in and out to see if tumblers will release..gd luck..chris

no, no noises or double sound. the key simply won't turn, and if I forced it either the key would break or my wrist would.
really screwed with it alot just before trying the oil and it works, it was stuck so I assume the oil would have worked
do you hear any noise....is the lock actuator working double time?
lock cilynder......perhaps...
