An F1 is almost always a defective main control board. Could try unplugging the unit for a few minutes and see if it will reset. The part # for the board is W10110072. An easy Fix. Take off the kick panel, 3 screws 1/4 inch. Make sure you have a shop vac ready or a lot of towels as there will be some water. Always disconnect power to washer and dryer, and turn off water to washer. Your filter most likely is clogged with change, screws, lint, and other household stuff that we leave in our pockets! Unscrew the cap on the filter, easy to find, since you have the kick panel off! Take everything out of the filter. Take your shop vac and **** out remaining stuff in hose. Also, **** up any water that has leaked in and around the washer. Screw the cap back on hand tight, put the kick panel back on, turn your water back on, plug it in and there you go! Maybe takes an hour and saves you a repair bill. If you are not comfortable with this procedure then call a maintenance person that is qualified.

You don't need any special tools to do this. Feel around the edge of the bellows seal until you find a spring in the groove behind the face of the seal. Using a small screwdriver, lever it over the edge of the seal, and slowly work the ring over the seal face. Peel the seal off of the mounting flange, and roll it inside the drum. Remove the front of the washer, and remove the spring on the inner part of the seal. Replace the seal, making sure that it is oriented in the same manner as the one you took off. Reassemble in the reverse order. There are a number of very good videos on YouTube. Type in "washing machine repair" and you'll find different chapters in what amounts to a series on repair.....good stuff.

i just had the same prob i took off the top snap cover for the bleach and saw were the water goes out and it was clogged cleaned it out and it drains great again

control and should be replaced to resolve the error code. However, you can
contact Whirlpool as well prior to replacing the control yourself as I have
seen whirlpool paying for the parts themselves just because this is known to be
