Convergence will not work

Sounds like you need to do a color convergence. If you still have the owner's manual, it will give great detail on how to do this. The convergence menu is accessed from the video menu on the tv.
The tv has three color picture tubes, red, blue and green. The convergence alignment adjust each tube so that color from each tube overlaps each over to create a white image on the screen. Most tv's only allow you to adjust the blue and red colors.
Convergence should be performed each time the tv is moved and at least once annually.

Locate and replace convergence IC's = verify part # is
Stk392-110 use TOSHIBA STK392-110T .....Let me know..T.
Note:Will need chassis pulled to access soldered in parts....

U mean ur tv have colors shadows?Colors lines Red,Green,Blue misaligns don't line up to produced a solid picture?U have a 3D pic?All these are cause by a problems known as CONVERGENCE PROBLEMS.Ur tv the convergence board the 2 convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead.All these parts on the convergencce board,must be replaced to solved convergence problems.The shop will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

One or both of the STK convergence chips have probably failed.

I can give you guidance on this if you are confident to do the repair. I had the same problem with my Tosh 40WH08B and after replacing these chips it works like new.

You need to replace following ICs, may be 2 pieces in your tv for convergence problem.
IC, STK392-110T

Please search on net for availability in part stores

You could replace it yourself. I had it done recently and the local repair shop charge $400 to do it (including cost of the chip).

There are several circuits in the tv that will cause this. the most common on your model is a bad convergence circuit. a repair cost will range around 400.00 or so. it is a good model and worth a repair.

the problem are the convergence amps. Its a common problem for this model. Google the model # and you'll see several postings about the blinking light.

Change the Convergence IC'S

I just posted a question about a convergence problem( juice07 ). I am unable to adjust the red color in the convergence adjustment mode. Did you have a similar problem ?? Please help.
