where did you hooked up your ps2, in component input in your tv or through RF tuner of the tv. it will depend which input or you are using so you can set the tv in the right option.
PlayStation usually has 3 wires 1 video 2 audio. on the tv yellow input its video. rotate the wires till you see it on the screen. then the other two are for audio. or if it's a ps3 purchase a hdmi cable.
Because it's a PS2, composite is your best bet. Plug the Yellow red and white wires into the back of the TV. Sometimes if the TV only has component inputs, the yellow output goes into the GREEN input. Hope this helps! =]
Whay kind of cable are you hooking it to your TV with...?
The one that comes with the ps3 is only capable of NTSC, or 480. If that is the cable you are trying to use, you will have to get an HDMI cable, or the component cable (the one with 5 rca's plugs, 3 vid 2 audio), as these cables are capable of the full 720 and 1080 resolutions.
