The copier won't copy or print legal size documents. It stops printing at 11 inches, and there is nothing in the book about changing paper size. I load the legal paper, I send the legal original through the document feeder, and it prints the first 11 inches.

Change the paper size in the program you are printing from and delete all paper size changes later than the beginning of the document.

Change it on your default printer and anywhere else you can.

Usually it is asking for different size of paper and will display this on the lcd

When I want to make a copy it tells me "Paper size

Hi,

Good day, Regarding the error message that your getting, that means the paper where you want to print that document is not supported by the printer. Usually you'll the see supported paper size if you click the print option or print setup for your printer. The only way to resolve this is to use the appropriate size of paper like.

You can also try this steps to change size for the documents you want to print

>Open the File menu and click Print.
>Click the Settings tab
>Click on Paper Size. A list of paper sizes will appear
>Select the size you want.
>If none of the selections are suitable, select Custom. A box will appear inviting you to set your
own measurements. Enter the width and length that you want.
>Click OK.

These are the usual paper size use. It's 8 1/2 by 11 inches and the other one that you could use in most printers is 8 1/2 by 14. The first one is known as Letter size, the other one is known as Legal size. Hope this information help in resolving your issue. Have a great day.

We tried printing and copying with the setting set at LTR and LTR-R and we checked the paper tray and every time we make a copy or print it prints out the entire document perfectly centered across the...

It seems to me to be a problem of the Blue paper cassette size dial is set wrong. First see what the settings are from the display by pressing the paper select button. Most people have it set for the upper cassette to be LTR ( 8 1/2 X 11 inch paper - length running from front to rear in the cassette ) and the lower cassette to be LTR-R ( 8 1/2 X 11 inch ) or Legal ( paper length running left to right). Check to make sure the blue dial agrees with what's in the cassette. Try doing the testing by putting the paper on the glass first and closing the top. If this is correct and the problem is in the Documnet feeder then one of the raised flags may be broken or the sensor bad. The left one is for letter, the second one for LTR-R or legal and the third is for 11 X 17. The opening and closing fo the side guides also helps to determine paper size. Hope this helps you.

Change legal size to letter size

scan it as a document, re-scale it in required size and save then print in required size.

these adjustments are in your word or office programs. if you need to make it to copy, insert your original in the scanner, in paper tray insert your letter paper, select copy and then re-size, this should do it "on the run".

Printer wont print. It keeps saying PC Load Legal. The printer has paper in it.

Well the printer is telling you to load "Legal Size paper, which is 8.5" X 14" paper.

More than likely, the application you are using is telling the printer to print the page on legal sized paper.

If you want the document to print on "Letter sized paper (8.5" X 11") then in the application, go to the File drop down and select "Page Setup". From within page setup's window, change the paper size to letter and then re-print the job.

We had problems to print legal and after 30 minutes of trying it finally printed legal. Now we cant go back to letter size so every document prints on legal paper. Can I get clear instruction on how we can...

When you say printing? Do you mean from the computer or are you making copies. If you are printing from the computer you need to change the paper size that you are printing to under the printers properties or the out put tray. If you are making copies just hit the reset button or just manually select another paper tray on the display pannel. Or if you have change a paper tray to leagal size change it back to LTR and make sure the paper is installed the correct direction.

Cannot print to legal size paper format

There could be a few issues causing this problem.
1. Your document size on the actual document you are attempting to print believes it is letter (which is the default).
To change this setting, you must tell the computer you wish to print on legal paper.

To do this in MS. OUTLOOK:
Put the curser at the top of the page
then...under 'File-Print-Preferences-Layout-Advanced-Paper size-change to legal (from Letter'
-slightly tedious...but follow along and this should help

2. The printer needs to be adjusted to hold the legal paper.
Open up the legal tray to adjust the paper holder to hold the paper snuggly...it slides roughly.

Hope this helps..if you need more assistance please ask...also please rate my solution.
PLEASE note that anything other than a FIX-YA is actually a negative rank...and will lower my success...I didn't make the system...but that is the way it is in FIX-YA.
thanks

Scale from legal to letter

Hi,
Legal size is 11x17 inches and you cannot get a legal length document when selected for landscape.
Landscape means that it is 11 inches high and 17 inches wide.
You need to set it to letter and select 11x17 inches.

How do I copy a legal size document?

You need to change it in the menu, it's stopping because once it reaches the letter size the sensor detects that there is still paper there and jams.
