I went to home Depot and saw the same thing that I pulled out. The gut said to get a snake and see if that works. I just do't understand what is blocking it now.

It sucks that your tub isn't draining right. It seems strange that there is no drain at all, normally the water just drains slowly. It might mean you have a very firm clog, I would try to call a professional plumber and see if he can help. Good luck! http://www.barstowindustrial.com/Hardwar...

If the (trip lever) is too long it wont let water down the tub. if you twist the linkage and make it shorter it should let water out. if its too long then it wont let water out because it is blocking the tub drain to hold the water. this is assuming that the tub drain is a trip lever type that is drained by a little lever you push up and pull down at the over flow of the tub drain

I take it that you removed the drain trip linkage and stopper through the vent hole .
You must now run a small hand or small power snake the less than eight feet to open the drain.
You can also plug up the vent, tightly and  try a flat plunger on the tub drain .

My top loader overflow and not count down

a washing machine should never overflow if the drain hose is the right height. IT cannot be higher than the tub, The other thing is the water level sensor is not working. You can take the whole top off by lifting up on it and then you can see down into the tub area for the water sensor. They can get plugged up. Otherwise post the make and model number

Our daughter put 3 bath crayons down our tub drain and completely clogged it. We've tried all brands and variations of daino as well as a small hand snake. I'm thinking we'll need to disso

The right answer is to remove the drain trap and clean it out.....if this trap is not accessible then you have a major carpentry issue to gain access. You can also try several gallons of boiling hot water to soften the crayons up.

I have an american standard tub and it constantly clogs. I used drane-o and it worked for a little bit but I think its the drain in the tub. How Can I tell if thats the problem?

Take screws out of plate on tub over flow and pull up trip lever. sometimes they move and need adjusting . It shoul dhave 2 bolts holding the plate on tub at overflow and work with it to remove trip lever assembly once out run some water down drain to let you know if that is th eproblem then you can adjust on trip lever assembly by moving the little barrel like plug near the handle a little will increase water flow out of tub once you put it back in you can adjust it out it back in with out bolting back turn water on and move lever to see if it drains any better.

They can be tricky but you can do it.

Washing machine does not drain on spin cycle

I just had a repair person out for this problem. My machine was displaying the Ld error code. First the technician removed the tub by lifting the cover (2 latches need to be tripped in front similar to an auto hood), then snapping out the rim, then removing the center, then removing the tub and sucking ou the water with a wet vac. Covering the drain was a pair of cotton gym shorts. Next to the gym shorts was a quarter. He says that he has discovered many things in there and that they spun in there during the high speed spinning. He recommended putting anything small in a wash bag before putting it in the wash. I can't see doing this practically because it would include all socks, underwear, and most of my daughter's clothing.

In any case, this wasn't the whole problem, so he had to put the tub back together and then work underneath as described in the "change in drain" problem. I didn't watch this as the laundry room is too small. He found a barrette in the drain motor.

After this he ran a diagnostic and gave me the all clear. I have successfully run a load through.

Have water under crispers not going to pan think drain tub e mite stoped up took frezer apart could not find it where is it

It's located below the coils inside the freezer at the very bottom. The water comes from the coils. Take a turkey baster filled with water and push the water down the drain. This will unclog the drain.

I have the GE whdsr209doww- leaks all through cycle at the back draintube. I am going to get a new drain tube , but could it be the pump not holding the water in the tub?

FYI, the pump does not have a valve which prevents the water from leaving the tub during wash cycles.
If you were to remove the drain line from the machine the water in the tub would siphon.
I think you are moving in the right direction by replacing the drain tube. Also inspect the other connections from the tub to the water pump and water pump to drain tube..
Good luck...

WASHER WONT DRAIN

Take off the lower panel ( 2 screws on bottom) pullout and down to remove. Make sure unit is unplugged pump is on the right hand side one hose coming from bottom of tub and the other goes out the back to the drain. Take off the hose from the bottom of the tub and be ready to catch alll the water in the tub suggest you use shop vac and remove all water first. look in the impellar in pump should be a clog right there then put everything back the way you toook it off and be careful to get the hose back on the way you took it off there is a slot in the hose and a tab on the pump for alignment.

Hi. I work on these machines every day.
The problem with your model 10 is that the diverter valve is not in the DRAIN position, so when the pump runs, it is sending the water right back into the tub. The issue is one of two things-
Either the tab on the diverter valve has physically broken off and the machine needs a new diverter valve, or there is a short in the machine's controller and it is sending a constant signal to that valve, causing it to never be in the DRAIN position. When the diverter is NOT energized, the flap is at rest and the water will go out the drain. When the valve IS energized, the water is supposed to go thru the recirculation hose.
You want to check that diverter valve first and formost. That's going to tell you what you need to know. Look closely at it and you'll see if the little tab that goes from the wax motor to the flapper lever is broken off. The diverter valve is located down underneath the tub in the right rear, it has three hoses attached to it and two wires. It's grey in color and the little wax motor is brown.

If you would like to obtain a service manual, you can get them from http://www.fisherpaykelparts.net
