Hi... Anyone out there had "pumping/pulsing"

The unfortunate part Mike Miller is a lot of people doing videos on youtube on how to repair sets really don't know what they are doing and sending people in the wrong direction with bad answers, they have something that fixed their set and think that is the only part that would cause the issue or causing parts to be ordered that aren't bad....here is what you do to diagnose your TV...I pulled my service manual for your set and this code is from a backlight dimming error, there are 2 things that would cause this, 1st is the LD board is bad and needs replacing...I have a link at the bottom for a new board from shopjimmy.com...2nd would be some bad LED lamps in the panel and its shutting down the PMW (pulse width modulation) signal and turning off the LD board (chances are this is what is happening as that board seldom fails)...if your able and feel comfortable doing it you can measure the voltage at the PMW pin on the power board...it should show between 3.5 and 5 volts depending on what setting the backlights are set at...If you see that voltage when you power the set up and its running but it goes to nothing when the set shuts off then its lamps.. Most likely you have a couple failed lamps in the panel as of now but more will burn out if you don't get it fixed and the run time will get shorter and shorter as more of them fail over time..if that voltage should stay when the screen goes back then its the LD board...Good luck...

It is telling you that the current to the PMW (Pulse Width Modulation) solenoid that regulates the TCC (transmission torque converter) does not have a valid voltage. There could be a short in the solenoid its self or an open or short in the solenoid wiring.

Hi,
You can reset lamp timer of VPL-EX3 by following procedure.
Connect power cord in wall socket, standby indicator will lit red.
Press following keys on projector remote.. RESET, Left arrow, Right arrow, ENTER
Lamp timer will reset.
