Re: displey problem

May be loose connection on the OEL display tube. Did the removable panel get dropped? Try your local Pioneer dealer for a replacement under warrantee if it's new.

No factory speakers working

You don't mention the year/make/model of the vehicle so, my response will be as vague as your problem/question. Either the speakers are not connected properly, defective or, your factory amp ( no way of knowing because you don't mention the vehicle) is not powered up or not working.

Kenwood head units show "protect" when there's a problem with the speaker outputs. This might mean a shorted speaker wire, a blown speaker, or an internal defect in the head unit. Once the condition that's causing the "protect" mode is fixed, the CD player should be back in normal mode the next time you turn it on.

If it's staying in "protect", then you'll definitely have to remove the stereo and do some troubleshooting to fix it. Many car audio stores will do system troubleshooting, for a fee. If you want to do it yourself, here's what you need to do:

Pull the Kenwood unit from the dash and disconnect all the speaker wires. Turn it on and see if the "protect" message displays. If it does, the stereo has an internal defect and will need to be serviced. If it doesn't, then turn it off, and re-connect one speaker. Turn it on again and see if it displays "protect".

If it works with a single speaker connected, keep re-connecting the others until you identify the speaker that's causing the problem. There may be a wiring problem or defective speaker in that location.

If it displays "protect" with a single speaker connected, then disconnect that one and try a different one. If all the speakers cause a "protect" mode, then you're probably back to a defective head unit, unless your friend managed to blow all your speakers at once.

My clarion dxz385usb has no sound.

Check to make sure exposed wires aren't grounding themselves out. I just had this problem and after 2 days of re-wiring and re-checking almost every wire I finally found the culprit. The Remote wire from my amp has become exposed and grounded itself out. Unit worked fine, same problems you are having.

Kenwood KDC-MP528 CD Player "High Frequency Disconnect" shows

This is a very unusual problem. I have been repairing Kenwood radios for over 17 years and have never seen this on any display. You should probably reset the system by pressing the reset button located to the right of the "6" preset button. You may be required to enter your security code and if you do not have that code, you will need to clear the code. I can tell you how if you need it, but don't reset the unit until you find out how to clear the code if needed. You need the remote to clear the code also.

Pressing the reset will reset all setting to factory presets. You need to press it with something very small, like the tip of a ink pen or the like. The reset button is not labeled and is very small. Just a tiny circular indentation on the display.

If this does not work, you need the unit serviced. There is nothing I have ever seen that will clear that type of error, since I have never seen that error.

Let me know if you need any more help.

check the fuses, I mean ¿did the display show something?,if you have any fix km showing, then must be the sensor in the motor gear,or a loose cable. if not , change the dashboard.

Error 2 on Display

Mabye. I would suggest either opening the unit up and cleaning thr "laser" (optical pickup) with a q-tip. Or try using one of those cleaning cds that have the little cleaner fabric on the inderside... if that doesent work something is most like wrong with the cd machanism wether its not spinning the cd or just not reading it due to a defective laser.. ampman!
