I cannot turn the ringer off. It gives me no option, I could do that on my previous Uniden phone which I dropped in the water in my kitchen sink while talking and doing dishes, so I went out and purchased another one last night. You should be able to go to the handset and do that.  Hit the button above the caller id until you can hear it.

hello. To turn the ringer off on that phone you need to get into the menu. The way you get into the menu is press and hold the menu/cid button for 2 seconds. Then press the arrow down button until you highlight the ringer volume. once the ringer volume is highlighted, press the select/channel button. that will rotate you through the 3 available volume levels. High, low and off. as you are pressing the select/channel button the handset sounds a sample of the volume level. when you hear the volume level you want simply press end and that will store your volume to the off position. to turn it back on, just repeat the above steps but select the proper volume level you want and then hit end.
