Our phone rings only twice
With the phone in standby mode, press the menu/clock key three times.
You hear "Ring time" and the current ring time, and it is displayed on the main base. Then you hear the guidance for setting the ring time.
Press the volume/select-up-down until the desired setting appears.
Press the set key.

How do I change my personal greeting on my
Press and hold the greeting key until you hear the prompt, release the button, then record your message at the tone. Press the greeting key again when done.

2) Do it the old-fashioned way. Hold a recorder up to the answering machine while you play back the messages.

Answering machine is not answering
If your phone rings normally and your can make and receive calls, the line is OK, please check if answering option is on, typically a botton marked ANS or similar with an indicator or a display showing that it's on.

How to change the numbr or rings before...
1) With the phone in standby mode, press the menu/clock key three times.
You hear “Ring time” and the current ring time ([2 ], [ 4], [6 ], [T ] Toll
saver), and it is displayed on the main base. Then you hear the guidance for setting
the ring time.
2) Press the volume/select/ or up or down arrow key until the desired ring time appears.
3) Press the set key to select the new ring time. You hear a confirmation tone, then
the announcement “Ring time” followed by the new ring time. After a few
seconds, the system announces “To set record time, press menu again.”

I have a dxa15588-2 twin
Hi, it is absolutely impossible for you to register the TCX expansion handset with the DXA main base.....
I have tried experimenting myself as a phone expert but it didn't work..

How do you adjust volume on base ringer on uniden dxa15588-2
Setting the Main Base Ringer Volume
The main base has three ringer volume settings: high, low, and off. You can change
the ringer volume while in standby mode or while an incoming call is ringing.
1) Press the ringer key.
You hear the ringer at the current volume level
([ ] High, [ ] Low, [ ] off) (if you set the
main base ringer volume to off, “Ringer off” is
announced) and it is displayed on the main base.
2) Press the ringer key repeatedly until the desired ringer
option appears.
3) The system displays the new ringer volume.
