My color print outs, like mapquest, look like cartoons instead of pictures. I did a noozle check and yellow isn't printing. I took the cartride out and touched a paper towel to it, and the ink came out....

Never use aftermarket cartridges with your Canon Pixma ip5200 inkjet photo printer.

If your cartridge leaks fluid when out, then that's not a good sign.

Try to return for a refund if you just got it.

The yellow light and the green light underneath it are blinking and we cannot get them to stop blinking. The printer won't print!

Flashing yellow is a universal sign for your out of paper and flashing green means you have a page pending make sure you have the right printer selected if you have more then one in your network and if you done have the verison Patch of your printer saved on your computer you can go to the manufactures website and they will have it

I installed the laser hp 1100 on windows xp

Your problem is your PC parallel port is not configured or turned on. I would first look in the control panel, device manager and see if you have a parallel port listed and it does not have a yellow or red sign on it. If red or yellow then it is on but not configured. See below for that solution.
If it does not appear, reboot your PC and enter the bios. Find the setting for the parallel port and set to enable. If on you can change the setting on what type of parallel it is emulating. Normal is bi-directional IEEE.
Then save and restart to go into Windows. Test and print.
OK, if the parallel port in the DEVICE MANAGER shows a yellow or red sign on it, it has a bad driver, or bad settings. Un-install the port by right clicking and choose UN-INSTALL. Restart your PC and it should find the parallel port and install it again. Hopefully without the yellow or red sign on it. If the red or yellow sign is back. Look on the internet for the newest driver for your motherboard.

As a note: if you are using a print server or USB to parallel adapter these solutions won't help. You will have other issues to address.

Good Luck

Printer will not print, please help

Have you tried printing from within the Printing software for the printer in control panel? Click on "Print test page" and see if it will print. If not, go to the color management tab and check that it shows enough ink in each color. If there is one that is too low or has a yellow yield sign on it, it won't print and you will need to reinstall that ink after you verify that it has enough of that color. Make you you installed the CD first before you connect the printer or it won't install correctly. If you did that you will need to uninstall and reinstall again after restarting each time.

My printer do not print any file

I usually face the following problem while giving printing command to my printer:\r\n
1. On clicking print from file meno the printer does not print and the yellow light upwards starts blinking.
2. Reinstalled the printer after inserted the Printer Software *C6464-10018* v 41 *MacOS 8.1*USB
but printing did not start from this even.
3. sometimes earlier I experienced that only 2-3 lines get printed and after that the upper yellow light again started blinking.
4.Some times the printer goes on sucking papers and prints as the signs of playing cards or some other abnormal shapes lining etc.
Please be kind enough to solve my all such problem and if possible point out step by step action to be taken by me during such an eventuality at a later stage also.

My epson c84 wont print yellow

Providing you're SURE the yellow cartridge is good and properly installed (you did remove the yellow plastic strip from it didn't you), there is little doubt the yellow print nozzles are blocked with dried ink (after 5 years, I'm amazed they all aren't). Try up to 4 cleaning cycles and nozzle prints, if you haven't already. If there's any sign of yellow on the paper after this, leave for 24 hours and try again. Repeat this clean cycle - it could take a while to get it perfect.

If you still get no yellow after a couple of the above processes, you can try soaking the print heads for 24 hours (or more), as follows. Turn the printer on, and as soon as the print head moves out of its parking position, pull the power cord out of the back, or turn the printer off at the mains. You may now carefully move the print head by hand over to the left hand side out of the way. Look inside the print head parking area on the right and you will see a small rubber cup that comes up to cover the print nozzles when the head is parked (to stop it drying out). Use a syringe or dropper to fill this cup with head cleaning fluid or distilled water. DO NOT USE TAP WATER. Carefully push the print head by hand fully
into its parking position so that the cup full of fluid comes up over the print head. Do not turn the printer on at any stage in this process. Leave this for at least 24 hours, then turn the printer on and try a head clean/nozzle check again. If nothing, repeat the process once more. If still nothing, post a new comment detailing
what you have done and the results.
