There is usually a section for the orientation of the projector, maybe the ceiling/table mounted section is in a differnent place in the settings menu than the front/rear facing section.

Look at the bottom of the unit for little rubbery stickers that seem like feet. Pry them gently off with a screwdriver, and underneath should be the screws for the case. If not, try downloading the owner's manual from the manufacturer's website.
