Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines

Can't find a replacement belt for my E State washing machine.

I was told that they no longer make washing machines w/ belts so it would be nearly impossible to find a replacement.... go to an auto part store and see if they had a belt about the same size. The smallest belt they had in the store was too big so what do i do now?

My Defy DAW 365 washing machine goes through the whole washing cycle but it just won't spin. It does drain between the washing cycles.

If the poly-vee drive belt in your washing machine has snapped, the motor will no longer be able to turn the drum. The drive belt is an important component of any washing machine as it drives the motion of the unit where the clothes are washed and spun. If your washing machine is making a loud noise or no longer spins, then the belt is probably worn or damaged.

Consew 206RB-5 v-belt size. And where can I buy a replacement belt?

Hello rmurcelli, If you have the old belt, you can take it to any auto parts store near you to have them match it up. An automotive belt will outlast any original sewing machine belt. If you don't have the old belt , you can place a cord around the two pulleys to get an idea what length you need. You also want to measure the width of the pulleys . There is usually an inch or two of adjustment at the servo motor .

This is so old it will be impossible t find - did you try Ebay?

A lot of problems with these old projectors are broken plastic parts that are no longer available or melted/broken belts. Belts can be replaced with an O-ring of the appropriate size (check your local hardware store) PRB used to sell belts for projectors but I believe they are now out of business.

How to replace belt? Kenmore Elete washing machine mod #110.24952300

Pop the spring loaded top and remove the front panel for access. Take pics with your cell phone to help in reassembly.

The tensioner connects to slits in the bottom panel near the motor pulley. Feed the belt through the tensioner and around the pulley. advertisers sell replacement parts as do appliance parts stores in your area.

Kenmore oasis he....willnot spin flashes f

The most common reason for the washing machine not to spin or sometimes not to drain is the punp.If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:
If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt.
If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.
Thanks for contacting

Most hardware stores or even auto supply stores will sell replacement belts. Bring the old one there for measurements or sometimes there are numbers on the belt.
