I think my Powershot deleted my photos to make room for videos!

After I downloaded everything, I noticed there were a LOT of videos. Then I realized most of my still photos were missing. Should I buy a recovery program? Help!

Hi there and welcome to FixYa.

    First a couple of questions.

    1) Can you play the videos in your computer?

    2) Are there any of those "video" files that you know were pictures?

You may find your still pics were downloaded to a different folder than your videos, on you PC. Do a Start/Search Files and Folders and begin to enter first chars of pic file number.

Else go to Documents/ Pictures

I have a Canon PowerShot G3 camera. The CF card is full. How do I erase some images, so I can take a photo and then download and erase more, so I can have more room again.

You need to "play/view" the stored pictures and i think by clicking the "Menu" will show you the "Delete/Erase one/all"
Personally ill recommend an external CF reader and simply transfer all photos on any PC, then save them on a Flash Stick, GoogleDrive or a CD/DVD

How to recover deleted photos from Powershot A3500 IS

First, don't use the card again until you recover! Piriform's Recuva is a free photo recovery program that will allow you to recover images and data from your cards and devices. They're the same people that make CCleaner and are pretty reputable. I don't endorse them here, I've just successfully used their software in the past.

How do i delete photos from canon powershot sx110 card

To delete an individual photo, while playing back the photo press the trashcan button located just above the control dial. To delete all photos on a memory card, format the card by using the Format command in the Setup menu.

If you need a manual you may download a copy here.

All pictures deleted from camera while on a plane can this be recovered?

Yes this can. Very easily also. See this link. Just remember when recovering to save your recovered photos onto your hard drive, and not back onto your memory card as that may overwrite lost photos prior to recovery.

I was taking pictures and I had looked at them and when I got home they are missing off my camera what can i do to recover this pictures

In this case you may try some photo recovery software to recover these pictures, here are some programs you may rely on. Both programs can also recover videos and music.
Photo Recovery Software (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery Software (for Mac OS X)

Note: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the camera memory card in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.

Recovering deleted photos on Canon PowerShot SD750 Digital Camera

I have had success with this... Download the program
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

Does "formating memory card" means it deletes everything???....

Yes, when you format a memory card, it erases all its data. Nowadays many companies/manuals don't bother mentioning that, unfortunately :(
