Question about Canon PowerShot A40 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Won't download Everything has always been fine but now I can take photos (and have checked that everything plugged in all right) but not able to transpose photos to iMac I don't get an error message, just nothing happens at all. I don't store photos but always transpose and then delete the originals. Any suggestions would be appreciated, but please explain in simple manner as if to a 3 year old alien

Sorted itself now. Nothing wrong with the camera must have been the connection. Changed everything round and everything now OK

Didn't know how to edit my own post, so it'll have to stay!

Hello, my ixus 760 i always showing busy when uploading photos to my pc. Tried everything, please help.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Test at the spark plug if you are getting current there with a cheap spark plug tester, if not, it could be the spark box. ( it used to be an ignition coil on older cars ) double check the computer for codes which may lead to a cam sensor not giving the PCM information.
